Machado, JJ Hardy, Zach Britton aren't top 10 in their position?

more like top 5

Actually if you look at his stats over the past 3 years, Bumgarner is barely a top 15 starting pitcher, so he is technically "overrated" I think his rating makes perfect sense, and playoff stats are nothing compared to regular season just look at Kershaw, you don't technically have to be "good" to do well, just look at the 2010, 2012, and 2014 Giants, not good teams but still won it all, not that i hate the Giants, i hate the bandwagon fans. But most Giants players are "overrated" based on regular season stats, besides maybe Posey, Bumgarner, and Pence

Why does Delabar have a higher overall than Loup and Cecil?

I am not going to say anyone is over or under-rated since I don't know what criteria was used to covert their stats to ratings and what stats the game considers most important for a position. What I will assume is that for each position, except in cases where the rating is manually tweaked, that players are ranked fairly on the criteria that is set up for each position. Now whether or not I, or everyone else agrees with the criteria might be another matter.

AND, he was dominant in Japan.

Yes its not US baseball, but what from his pitching in Japan AND his pitching in the US, would lead anyone to believe he is not as good as advertised?

For the sake of this conversation. Clayton Kershaw 37-12 the last 2 seasons. 59-21 the last 3 seasons.

Ok, I think his overall rating in this game is acceptable, but looking solely at his numbers he currently is 91-50 over 7 seasons and in only two seasons has reached the 200 Innings pitched plateau; he has managed to start 30+ games for the past 6 seasons. So, you can't possibly tell me that these stats justify a seven year $210 million dollar contract plus $50 million dollar signing bonus.

Getting back to his rating, what is it a 94? Anyway if that is his overall than his potential should be about 86-88 I don't consider him a number 1 starter. The money that he will receive leads to believe that he is considered to be in the same category as Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw (Not even close IMO).

I haven't looked over his /9's but losing a lot of games isn't going to reflect in his rating. Unless it's factored into pitching clutch?

Kershaw is 98-49 in that same span.
