MLB 15 The Show Player Ratings - Top Rated Players at Each Position

Pablo Sandoval isn't on the Giants anymore and I'm still surprised he's not in the top 10...I feel like he definitely should be. Potential Gold Glover and Good hitting and some power.

But glad to see Posey at the top of Catchers and to see MadBum and Pence up there!

Anthony Rendon finished in the top 5 in MVP voting yet isn't even a top 5 3B?

Also looks like Bryce Harper will be in the 70's

I never know why people put so much stock into overall ratings.

Not that it matters, since ratings can be changed and all that, but I'm kind of surprised Sandoval isn't a top 10 3rd baseman, in terms of "overall".

In that same vein, somewhat surprised that Brian McCann is still a top 10 catcher, apparently.

Billy Hamilton? He and his .254 career batting avg. is a better CF then Adam Eaton, Marcell Ozuna, Dexter Fowler? just to name a few. And Cabrera is still overrated, he can hit for sure but can't run, field or throw so him being a 99 is just wrong.

Different positions weight stats differently. Reason Hamilton is rated higher is because of his speed/fielding ability mainly. Same with Cabrera, I've heard Nick say in the streams that high power and contact are weighted much more at 1st than other positions. You make Cabrera a RF and he's probably not a 99, similar with Hamilton. Make him a 2nd baseman as an example, and he takes a ratings hit.

For everyone saying Sandoval should be a top 10 3rd baseman, I have to disagree. Take a look at his stats, they have been trending downward (with the exception of 2010) since he came into the league. His OPS is 13th and AVG is 9th. There is also a clear trend toward rating a person's potential. Ruiz, Gomes, McCann and Wieters over Russell Martin? I don't think so. Billy Hamilton is the 8th best Center Fielder? Maybe when he gets on base, but he doesn't even do that well. Should stolen bases and speed count so high for a mediocre hitter?
