It could also be in case it's not accepted, and they have to hold off on certain fixes for another patch...

Hopefully they have addressed ball handlers doing "hesitation" dribbles without the user inputting that control.

I am constantly trying to drive to the basket and my guy will do a hesitation dribble for no reason as I am trying to gain a step on the defender..

This could probable be considered input lag, but I think it is just an unnecessary animation that is playing as a glitch.

This, plus in the past they have release notes early and certain things were not fixed, and we had people making threads about filing a class action suit against 2k.
