I never said it was. Perhaps you need to lower your expectations on how you think one should design a game :-)

Accel was 46.

What I have been trying to do is create a no sprint gameplay concept.

The key to it is to try to find that sweet spot where the CPU can't just race away with that extra gear if you are moving with L stick only.

From what I can tell Ea has tried to nerf pace abuse by turning your off ball players into idiots when you hold RT. On defense and on offense.

It's like if you hold RT you are telling the game I want to do this solo, so it shuts off all intelligence to your CPU controlled team mates.

It's almost impossible though because;

Your speeds

1 LB - crazy slow
2 LT - slow
3 LStick - normal
4 Sprint - fast

CPU speeds

1 slow - slow
2 normal - normal
3 run - faster than your normal
4 Sprint - Faster than your sprint

madden players would riot if the CPU DB's swatted away passes and your CPU controlled DB's jumped out of the way in the same situations.

or in The Show if the cpu could homer on anything low in the zone yet the user could only hit ground balls

or in NBA2k if the CPU blocked most of the 10 foot jumpers but your players didnt jump when the cpu shot them

That's nice, but I don't see how any of what you said germane to FIFA. I see nothing broken like that. You are using hyperbole to prove your case. You have an opinion and I have an opinion also. I myself can clearly see strategy in this game. I love the build up forming in front of me when I am attacking, and I also love defending. Can it be frustrating at times with dodgy AI? YUP! Is the AI broken? NOPE! :-)

It's not like we're complaining about hairstyles. We're pointing out the obvious deficiencies in a core aspect of the game itself.

Re: FIFA 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS4, XB1)

After playing some games I've noticed some things that really bother me. And they are making me not want to play this game anymore. This is on world class with custom sliders.

  1. The CPU has some sort of auto goal scoring ability to tie games late against "good" teams. Your defense will magically fall apart for one play allowing them to score. Its happened to me in 15 games so far. Its rather annoying. And it always happens past the 80' mark, when they are down one goal. Every time.
  2. CPU teams defenders are still light years ahead of the user CPU controlled defenders. The CPU team is able to make on the dime turns when on defense and make quick god like tackles to instantly disposes you of the ball. Yet your defenders act like they never played defense before and run by the person with the ball. And will not make those type of quick dis-possessing tackles.
  3. The CPU being down a man from red always makes them better. I've had three games where the CPU lost a man early in the first half. They won all three games. They get some sort of boost. But when I've lost a player, they then dominate me. My team doesn't seem to get the same boost when losing a man.
  4. (this one is carry over, but seems worse) Players are still lazy. Letting defenders step in front of them on medium ranged passes. They don't move towards the ball to get it. They just stand there and watch the cpu intercept it by walking in front of them. They also back away from lose balls. Or sometimes my player will run to the side of a lose ball even though I am pointing at it. And the cpu player will run up and get it. No idea what is causing my player to do this.
  5. Goal keepers are great with diving, acrobatic and circus blocks. But give them a low ball or something directly at them, and they can't save it. Its nuts. Ball top corner is saved. But you put that down low just off the left of him, and he does this back wards arms up confused thing and the ball goes in. Every time. Even with 100% GK ability. Its bananas.
  6. When the cpu goes into park the bus, its almost friggen impossible to take the ball away from the guy in the corner, even if you have three defenders on him. Yet if you try that, they take it away instantly with one defender.
  7. Player tactics don't actually work. I've set my CDM to always stay back while attacking. Yet he always comes up in attack support. Same with L/RB. Always stay back does not work. Same with going into ultra defensive. Why are my CB going forward in attack in ultra defensive?
What really bothers me about number one, is I've even tried moving the formation to 5 backs with 2 cdms setup. Setting them all to always stay back. Going into ultra defensive (which is busted as mentioned above), and they still score that magic game tying goal. Its infuriating watching your defenders move out of position for no reason, trying to switch to them, but it switches you to someone that makes on logical sense, and then watching the ball go past your keeper because he doesn't understand how to block a low ball.

Some more than others, and some are more vital to the game than others. Once again, people are pointing out how poorly the AI defends. Something that has been an issue in all FIFA games, but is worse this year than last. Should we ignore it and instead talk about how pretty the game looks? How about we do both?

It's an impressions thread, hence the impressions that are being shared, both positive and negative. Standard procedure, really.
