You are going with the gameplay is amazing, yet others are saying entirely the opposite, that is a big disconnect. Is it also set to 5 min periods?

Thanks
Here the link GROG sorry I had a person trying to derail the thread but all the boxscores and tips are there and its Allstar 8 minute periods but you get alot of bang for your $$$ and few others here I know like Mizz are getting exactly the same results.
I would also like to know what results others are getting as I find it hard to believe people results wouldnt at least be similar regardless if they like the gameplay on near default or not .
But please try to play them exactly as I posted them at first , Classic view , game speed ect as even if I click one key slider the whole gameplay can change and get a good sample size as theres always a tilted Ice factor .

I use Hybrid controls so theres no protect puck button so I turn on a angle like real hockey to shield the puck and thats how I draw many penalties by timing it or by controlling the puck in the cpu defensive zone .

Re: Will NHL Recover From a Down Year? (Roundtable)

Well I tried just about every level and slider set on this site and for the life of me STILL cannot get my CPU teammates to play any sort of even decent defense.
I'm sorry....I can't ignore it any longer.

It's infuriating and sucks the life out of wanting to play the game.
I don't just want to skate up the ice and score....hold the offensive advantage time by more than double....have twice as many shots ...and still lose games because my teammates simply won't even look at let alone check/clear..heck I'll take HACK the opposing team when they do gain the zone and camp right in front of my net.

Blech.

Can EA bounce back?....yeah sure...they have the $$$ and I know the devs WANT to make a great game. No doubt.
Putting back the missing modes is only half the way there.
They still have a LOT of ice work to do as well.
They can certainly do it....they didn't concentrate on that...it's clear they did improve other aspects of the on ice game....those parts (physics...the way shots feel...even some of the hitting/checking and animations) are much improved.
So they are moving in the right direction....
One thing I haven't seen much of is the tic-tac-toe....no doubt passing by the opposing team that was in the past...that's also better.

I've had a penalty called on more than one occasion simply because while standing in front of the guy with the puck and trying to poke check, instead of hitting the much closer puck, the player just jams his stick into the other guy's skates on what should have been an easy check.

I could see 2k coming back, but not Sony. This year it's a joke UFC , NHL had to be patched, and prize drop 20 $ in 2 weeks. Last year the same with NBA Live, wow.

For all the talk about 2K coming back I will be honest I did not care for the series they put out I thought EA was always better it's just that 2K did a better job with the all the extras. EA just simply refuses to add to these. Looking forward to NHL 16 at this point or might get NHL 15 around playoff time as long as there is a huge price drop down the road

I'm more than positive that EA can recover from this. They have the resources and budget to do so. That said, someone needs to create some competition for the NHL series. Whether that be 2K jumping back into the fray or someone like Konami reviving Blades of Steel, something needs to happen. With EA having an off year, this would be the best time for a competitor to be announced for next year.
