I cannot decide which system to buy this game on. All my soccer friends are PS4, but I just love not having to pause the game on xb1 for substitutions and just using the Kinnect to swap players in and out.

Re: FIFA 15 Demo Gameplay Impressions

My goal keeper, Simon Mignolet got red carded early in a match and the game wouldn't let me sub another one in for him. I tried putting in position players for him too, but it was a no-go. Hopefully that's not an issue in the retail. I had to back out to the dashboard and restart it.

Every year, EA throws us some crap that no one really cares about (Ooh, look, the corner flag moves sometimes!), and continues to ignore gameplay. The CPU's style of play has sucked and hasn't changed in...forever. Damn you, FIFA15. And I was so excited...
I get your frustration. I really went through that last year with 14. As much as I hated parts of the game, there was no other option if you wanted to play a decent football game. My impressions after playing the 15 demo is that all the things that frustrated me, all the things that made the game unrealistic and unfair, are exactly as they were in 14. EA adds some nice new graphics, excessive field wear and foot prints, and calls it a day. But don't get me wrong, I will still buy 15. Fifa is still entertaining, and the online play can be really fun (seasons and FUT). What should be recognized though, is that Fifa isn't the only decent footballing game this year. Give the PES demo a try and you'll be in for a treat. It isn't as pretty or sound as authentic as Fifa, but damn does it play great... this coming from a long time Fifa player.

I've really enjoyed the demo, since it's release i haven't touched FIFA 14, the only issue i have is the keepers are a bit hit and miss, sometimes they're great and others you're left sitting there thinking "Did that really just happen?" but all in all i'm very excited for the full game, however it's reported that the demo is only a 60% build of the game, the version at gamescom was further along (90%) so except a difference when it's released, the crowds look and sound great, the little cut scenes are cool and it looks like finally the impact engine will help the game and not hinder it like previous FIFA's, lots of new animations and as a Premier League fan it's great to have the full license for it

I'm not a fan of the shooting in the demo, unless I just haven't got used to the angles compared to 14.

Is it just me that thinks the keepers are a little too good? I'm liking the general gameplay though, impressed overall.

Quick question... is there a way to do like a touch pass? Like when you have two players that are just a couple of feet apart, is there a way to do a really light pass between the two of them? Sometimes I'll pass the ball into the middle and I'll have a teammate running right off another player's shoulders pretty much and I just want to tap it on to that guy because he has a better look at the net, but doing a regular pass it's almost impossible to kick it light enough to pull that off.

Is this what the "finesse pass" function is for?

Are you using manual passing? I was actually going to post that in here, but I don't think I got around to it. I love the fact that you can do little touch passes to a guy standing right next to you.

Just tap A ever so lightly, and it'll just barely come off your foot. But if you're using assisted passing, maybe that's why it doesn't seem to be working.

I'm using manual. I guess I just have a really hard time just tapping the A button that lightly. Guess it's just something I need to practice more.
