I think NHL 15 is a very solid game with penalties on superstar level. I enjoy the game.a lot.

But jake19 has been on this board for years and I appreciate his criticquing the game. He wants an authentic gameplay experience. Penalty sliders are a problem, I have to play 15 min periods to.get close to real numbers. Penalty sliders tthat work should give each team 10 Powerplays a game on the highest setting. This is how the slider worked in 2k hockey games aand jake19 is absolutely right that this has been a problem for 3-4 years.

It is also true that we had zero idea about some.modes that were missing before release. Its unacceptable for the majority. Good.thing for me I am.satisfied by just play now if the.gameplay is solid, but most people aren't.

I hope to hear more criticisms so the point is driven home to the devs that this won't cut it......

Had a few more great games won one lost one but Im really trying to tone down my hitting and play more positional as its giving me a tilted ice advantage since I changed back to classic view and can see everything again Ive become a hitting machine

Its really scary went you make this game play sloppy how realistic it has become and the toned down super ball puck on new gen in 1 year development time and Im very happy EA took this route and got it all done in one big swoop.

Has anyone noticed that every game feels the same? I mean there is no difference from a Rangers vs Flyers game or a Rangers vs Flames game. In fact I can't tell if I'm playing at home or away it doesn't seem to matter. This is not a specific knock in NHL 15 but in the series all together. I just think since this version is so barren all the little things that are wrong get magnified. I remember a version a few years back had rivalry match ups but I don't recall it having much affect on the game. Not really a big deal but since were left with just or playoff mode (when it comes) play now it would be cool if certain games were amped up

Ok I moved up to Superstar level and maybe its the sliders but has anyone else noticed theres hardly any cpu boost advantage on this level ? You know when the game would turbo into crazy mode when it needed a goal ?

Either way I never thought I would be enjoying Superstar level so thanks EA nice touch using more AI and strategy than a cheat .

I also found on this level Goalie pass and cover at 6/6 plays very realistically as they cancel each other out as they will play pucks they should like behind the net or close by instead of just standing there as the pucks trickles a few feet away with nobody close by especially noticeable on pk/pp situations and they will then cover in traffic situations and not try and pass .

For those who still have issues not drawing penalties you gotta raise CPU aggression to 6 and stay on higher skill levels as I cant draw anything on Pro .
I also didnt mention I play with Hybrid controls so theres no protect puck button so I turn alot to protect the puck in both zones so when the cpu tries to get the puck I get trips , slashes ect by moving last moment

games feel the same because cpu team strategies are basically all the same...

line 1, overload, prefers carry in then dump and low energy
line 2, behind the net, dumps more, and cycles
line 3, dumps more, cycles, high energy
line 4, crash net, dumps a lot and high energy.

All teams NZ setting is 3/6,

I edited nashville to have conservative attack, nz preference to be high, 1-4 forecheck and 1-2-2 red, and it felt totally different than playing against their default strategies.

sucks that you can't save strategies, but this is probably why....

Ok just some food for thought guys as I saw someone suggest near default allstar sliders so I set up a game and only changed cpu aggression to 6 , faceoff to 4 and both hu and cpu strategy to 4 and goalie reaction and cover to 6 and I already have 2 PP in the first period alone with 8 min periods

So just like the show when everyone tries to paint there perfect picture it effects all other aspects of the game and causes many little problems so adjusting or gutting the sliders from near default is the actual problem .

i want the cpu goalie to cover up the puck more and get whistles.
does setting goalie passing to 0 and goalie cover to 6 actualky do this?
i dont really notice a difference

Hi Read above as I use 6 cover and 6 pass and its as good as it can get as they will play loose pucks with nobody around and cover pucks in light traffic as it should be .
