Sterling and Kompany showing cleverness again... Are they blindfolded?

and last but not least... I mean, this was all from the same game. Why do players constantly act like this? If this was madden or nba 2k this place would be goin nuts...http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8tuCjIR8f4

GlennonThe Gr8, enough is enough already, you made your point pages ago, c'mon. And I'm someone who agrees with some of your concerns. Difference though: I know it's a video game, and if it's not up to my standards, I just don't buy it and I move on. I never bought FIFA 14 for many of the same reasons. I happily played PES 2014 this past year.

Select Summer, Overcast from options
Choose Broadcast camera
Play a half so that the pitch degrades a bit and shows the foot / slide marks
Load the screen for the start of the second half
Pause the game
Now invite your partner / spouse in the room (she should be cooking or cleaning ) and casually ask her is she wants to "watch" the game with you. I guarantee - for the first 5-6 seconds - she (anyone) would be fooled into thinking they are watching a real game. It it THAT good!
The light, shadows, colours, grass texture, player models - it looks just like real. EA have truly and utterly surpassed themselves in the visual department with FIFA 15. I tried the other cameras as well, but Broadcast just gives a truly spectacular visual experience.

I also think the gameplay has improved considerably. Everything is tighter, more logical, better flowing. I've played 20+ games so far (PS4) and I keep getting drawn back to it. I installed NHL 15 (full game) the other day but have actually found myself playing the FIFA's Demo more often.

Positives
+ Amazing graphics (especially in Broadcast view) 10/10
+ Captures the essence of football (soccer for our NA friends) accurately and stunningly
+ More physical play (pulling shirts, jostling, tackles) look fantastic and actually serve a purpose
+ The game's speed and flow feels perfect out of the box
+ Pretty good ball physics
+ Enhanced control
+ Degrading pitch is amazing visually
+ The game does not require the use of tricks so much but rewards players who apply strategy, momentum and football sense
+ Improved AI
+ Details (CPU holding the ball in the corner when in the 90th minute and defending a lead), Net back frame lifting off the ground when ball hits the inside of the net hard.
+ Teams play like the real teams. Love playing with Napoli and hitting teams on the counter
+ Great new animations
+ Wide variety of goals including deflections, balls trickling in, own goals, etc.

Negatives
- Players faces are not as accurate as expected
- Some player models are inaccurate (Ricky Lambert looking huge)
- CPU making lighting turns and pin point passes
- Defending versus the CPU can be frustrating (especially against CPU wingers)
- Legacy issues (a wild CPU clearance will still result in an accurate pass to a CPU teammate).
- Pass button is somewhat erratic. Sometimes a long press will result in a short pass and viceversa.

Overall I love this game so far. It's guaranteed to deliver tons of fun for the next 12 months. Deep at heart I am a PES fan, but boy did EA make some big steps forward with FIFA 15. Well done to the development team. This game is amazing.

As for the defense issue, play a game in 15 against a top team like Man City on pro difficulty, then jump in Fifa 14 and play a similar game on the same difficulty. The difference is night and day to me. In 14, the defense holds their shape fairly well and at least doesn't allow people to march right in and/or throw passes to players wide open at the penalty spot. 14 was far from perfect, but the 15 demo feels like a major step back.

I've tried legacy defending and using pressure a lot less. I'm still getting my teeth kicked in on pro. I'm no Fifa expert, but that doesn't feel right.

Hopefully this is just a demo issue and isn't in the final game... my only guess is that EA wanted to make the demo more exciting to bring in more casual fans?

Re: FIFA 15 Demo Available Now on Xbox One, 360, PC, PS3, PS4

There's no doubt that there are issues with defense and cpu passing. I increased slider error for the cpu to 60 last night because I had been seeing cpu passing consistently at over 90%. I played four matches last night, and in the first half the cpu was averaging about 80% passing, and I thought problem solved...but in the second half, especially if down they again became untouchable, and as has been pointed out can pick the perfect pass to make you pay. CPU still managed to finish games with 90% passing, and 2nd halves outshooting me an average of 8 shots to 2.

Containing players doesn't matter if the cpu never makes any passing errors which is what containing/cordoning off is supposed to do. Also, while fouls are better there is still the issue with being awarded penalties but no card being given to the cpu player. If the cpu brings your player down in the box for a penalty...minimum should be a yellow card.

I'm could complain about my lack of scoring opportunities compared to the cpu, but I just need to get acclimated to the new game. Seeing some incredible dives by the cpu keepers to block shots that were sure goals in 14. In my opinion the cpu keepers are better this year, and the player keepers are dumber. Had one goal against me where I thought Courtois was going to collect the ball, but instead he watched from two yards away as Higuain came charging in to shoot it into goal. I hit the button to move him, but too late.

The demo is an improvement over last year, but where old issues have been fixed, new ones have arisen, which I am praying have been fixed for the final version.

Re: FIFA 15 Demo Available Now on Xbox One, 360, PC, PS3, PS4

Some new impressions from PS4, at the default settings this is an arcade game, nothing more nothing less. It's fun in its own way I guess, but it's not for me.
After making a few slight alterations though the demo quickly becomes more representative of what I feel a football game should be.
I've been seeing a lot of complaints about the defending, and IMO this stems from several things:
#1 At default the defending logic is pretty poor, allowing for unlimited offense. On WC though it definitely tightens up nicely.
#2 Having watched replays, marking is simply too loose overall, a bump to 52 worked well.
#3 Whereas last year lines needed to be stretched a bit in order to encourage the CPU to actually attack, this year they may need tightening. At 49/49/49/50 it felt great overall.
#4 And finally, since the introduction of the controversial jockey/teammate jockey buttons in FIFA 12, defending has become IMO a mindless button press. Thankfully that doesn't work this year, jockeying still has it's place, but now it's just a tool rather than the whole tool box if you catch my drift.

Like I mentioned earlier, I don't want to get caught up with sliders and stuff with a demo, and I won't go further than this with it, but default just wasn't cutting it lol.
