Do we have actually people pining for the days of FIFA 95? [/quote]

There was mention of that version actually playing truer in midfield. Same as people consistency saying NHL 94 was the best hockey game ever,
I just tell them "I played it before it was popular" and walk away.

Any updates when this is coming for PS4, the Sony store is terrible, always late! hmph

Despite all of that in my first 4 games, this game is so realistic!! Haha.. Jeez.
Having played sports, all sports for the first twenty some odd years of my life,(before it caught up with me and I started breaking down lol)and being a sports gamer for nearly forty, there's one thing I can assure you of, there is not a video game created that is "realistic"
If you want realistic take your ball and go outside.
Video games are meant to be fun representations of your favorite sport, nothing more, nothing less. As for the FIFA franchise specifically, the dev team does a very good job of giving all manner of gamers a tremendously well produced, well thought out and highly customizable product that can be tailored to give you the experience of your choosing.
And while the sliders and options that the game provides can be manipulated to give a very good simulation style experience, it's certainly never going to be perfect and it's absolutely not going to be realistic. It's a video game, have fun with it.
Another thing I forgot to mention, the keepers. They were rebuilt from the ground up so yeah, they're not perfect in the demo, but the demo is quite old and the keepers are more more polished in the final release. At least that's what I've been told.

Do people not realize that sports games will never ever be 100% representative of said sport? Game company's #1 goal is to make $$. They will make their game to appeal to their largest audience - Casual Sports Fans. I hate to break it to some of you, but die-hards are in the minority and always will be. So, to expect a 100% realist true-sim representation of said sport is just silly.

The companies who are able to provide the best balance for die-hards and casual sports fans tend to produce the best games on a consistent basis.

To those saying FIFA isnt realistic....what are you HONESTLY expecting here? lol.

Of course, anybody who is a mega fan of soccer (or any sport) can sit there and pick apart every fallacy that doesn't represent the real sport. Congrats! If thats what you'd rather spend your time doing...then hey...go for it. Id rather enjoy the game for what it is. IMO. Fifa consistently produces quality games..they may be the most consistent EA dev team out there actually.

Yeah, absolutely this. I didn't get a chance to play FIFA '14 on a next-gen machine, not even in passing. I'm on a PC and was tethered to the old gen game. Now that I played the 15 demo for all of 20 minutes, I have to quit entirely everything I was doing with 14, including a 7 year career with my beloved Nottingham Forest. I think 14 was still the best iteration of the last 5 years, but I consistently found it to be far too much effort to casually enjoy/engage with: scoring was incredibly difficult with the exception of trivializing mechanics with crosses and lofted throughballs. I just never felt there was enough variety to goals.

AI teammate defending was woeful with 14; however, so I absolutely hope that has been improved with 15.

With all of that said, the presentation elements are breathtaking. In 14, the first thing I did before starting a match was make it a night game / clear so that I could see the details of the pitch when playing. With 15, there is so much dynamic range and detail (even on my 2008 Dell!) that I can play in virtually any lighting conditions.

Good to be back at OS arguing FIFA. Can't wait to check in with you all you gents over the next six months! Now where's Gonira?
