I never played Bball, Hockey or Baseball but I played a lot of football. And FIFA resembles in no way the real game! The ball physics are ****e, have always been so. The CPU defenders block the pass lines with mathematical precision(you can almost feel the vectors in the background calculating the perfect position of the defender.) You can not play halfpaced half high passes into the gap. Your defenders are too dumb to set the attackers offside, the more they seem to try everything to avoid setting them offside. Dribbling is awful. Far too complicated and not responsive at all. And beside the numerous gameplay flaws: The managing part in season mode is horrendous: Trading, contract negotiations have nothing to do with real life. And last but not least my "favorite" funkiller: This game is scripted! Most goals happen in or around extra time. And whats even worse: The whole season is scripted. When you play a great season some other team will, too. If you play mediocre the chances that all other teams will is high.

I will never understand why this game gets so much love from reviewers. Either they are all bribed or they are blinded by graphics and presentation. By the way: The german commentators are by far the worst in any sports title. Dumb, out of sync and repetitive. If anyone critisizes the MLB The Show commentators should listen to the german i*****.

If you think FIFA is better than NBA2k or MLB The Show you have never really played these games.

Thank you... A perfect response. I have also played football all my life. Like I said, if people want casual then fine but people that moan about other sports titles and then claim that the only thing that EA get right is FIFA, is just darn right ludicrous.

I could go on with dozens of other problems with this game. It is just a typical EA Sports game: good graphics and presentation and NO depth at all. Compare EA Sports games to NBA2K and especially MLB The Show: You can sense the programmers love for their sports (you can see it in the details!) in these 2 titles. And EA: No love for detail. And that is especially the case with FIFA. NHL was always the more ambitious title (until 2015 it seems). FIFA was always a shiny Shell with no depth in the core.

People have different opinions. Some of you desperately need to realize that.

Absolutely... MLB The Show and nba 2k are the most consistent and PES always use to be and I'm hearing that it's back but I'll wait and see for myself as I've heard that before. As I said, if you truly understand footie then there's no way you can say it's realistic on the field. Every team plays the same and always have... When I play against Barca, do they frustrate and attempt to keep possession? Nope. When I play against Liverpool, do I get bombarded with their blistering counter attacks, does Gerrard spray the ball about? Nope. When I play against Chelsea, do they do everything in their power to frustrate with stubborn defending after taking a lead? Nope. Does every team feel exactly the same? Yep... It's terrible and they've got away with it for too long. People are wising up on the whole but it'll sell regardless because EA are geniuses at marketing! "Next gen goalkeeper" I've just seen Cech watch a timid strike come his way and dive out the way of it as if it was laced with explosives... Awful.

I've played The Show every year, this years version was incredibly buggy, great game but it has it's own frustrating bugs. how many times did you run to a grounder with your infielder only to have the field animation not kick in and the ball go right through his legs, how many times did your outfielder field a ball off the wall then casually throw it in and give the hitter an extra base? How many diving catches did the CPU make a game against you? How many casual pick off throws ended up in the seats, for me it was enough that I refused to ever even throw over because 1 out of 3 went into the crowd.

No sports game is perfect, you want a perfect, real game of football with real life physics? Get a ball, go outside and find a damn field. Seriously hipsters, Fifa 95 was amazing?! really!? so if EA was to duplicate that game with todays players would that make you happy? I'm sure it would cost them much less to do this so they'd be more than happy to grant your wish.

FIFA is a fun, not perfect (god help them for this) game that allows you to play the beautiful game with the best players in the world and it looks great while doing this.
