So you already had a BeaGM mode going and after you patched it, you could see those options? The reason I ask is if that's the case then there is hope that we can start our BeaGM careers and when they patch other stuff like the draft, it will work with current BeaGM careers already in progress.

Great post/review by iaxy - I've got early access as we don't get release until 12th but I agree with all your positives & negatives even though I've had limited time with it so far.

I need to try the sliders, sounds promising.

I've been playing EA NHL since NHL92. I am not the most skill but I think I know a thing or two about hockey. The CPU will go ape sh*t on you from time to time and they are unstoppable. They will pass the puck like they are the Sedin brothers on steroids while to dragging you. When that happen, you can't be aggressive and put pressure on the CPU because he will punish you. You almost have to play zone defense and wait for them to shoot and go for the rebound.

in the meantime, if you are in their zone and you are cycling the puck, they are on you like glue. They are very aggressive on the puck carrier. The second they are next to you, watch out of the perfect stick lift. They will go away with the puck clean.

I have tinker around with some sliders to tone down some of the over the top behavior. I left aggressiveness and CPU strategy to default but I am wondering If I should touch them. I know some of the OS guys have been complaining on how the CPU wasn't aggressive enough in the neutral zone and blue line. Its true but once you get in the offensive zone, its like they transform into Mr. Jekyll

I agree with iaxy, the game is not that hard. So far on allstar simulation, I've lost more than I've won but it's the first day on a new game. You're not suppose to dominate when you first start playing, otherwise it wouldn't be worth playing. Work the puck around to create scoring opportunities and on defense, sometimes it works to skate backwards to stay in front of the puck handler. I know one thing, it's a challenge beating good teams with garbage teams this year, unlike NHL 14.

That's correct.

I started a Be A GM without having the day one patch/update. There was no option to change jersey numbers or captancies. I then updated it and loaded the same Be A GM from before and the options were there. That is indeed promising.

I jumped right into Superstar on my very first game. I won 6-5 in a shootout against Detroit.

You can play coop in play now and GM mode. You can not play couch coop online.

Yes you can turn penalties off. As well as change other rules like icing, fighting, etc.
