People feeling about what is taking place on the court will be illogically impacted by a lot of things, but the numbers won't have the same illogical emotions on what they feel.

If I play Live at the highest level 12 min quarters and the stats are on par for all the real nba stats, as far as points in the paint, rebounds, fouls, dunks, 3pt %'s, blocks, steals, travel calls, flagrant, turnovers, etc. Why would I need sliders?
Still a bunch of nonsense. Again why do you get to determine what I think is realistic? Why is your range the standard for realistic? Like I said before, If the average is 10 offensive rebounds and I have 3 straight games where I get 13, I may feel that thats unrealistic and not "on par" with what

Finally your whole point is just dumb and its the same dumb point anti sliders people have been saying for years. The old "Devs are relying on us to use sliders instead of making the game realistic" argument which is BS.

1. I have friends who want dunkfests and three point shooting contests in their basketball video games.

2. I have friends that want a super simulation and who obsess over the
simmed stats and realism. They obsess over the number of fouls called.

3. I have friends who fall in the middle and who want a psuedo realistic game but dont care if the number of offensive rebounds is realistic or if the stats are on par with the NBA average.

Now under your "make it hyper realistic and remove the options to tweak it" theory, my friends in 1 and probably 3 wouldnt buy your game and there are alot of people in those 2 camps.

With sliders, I can guarantee that all 3 groups are happy. How? Because they can tweak the game to make it so they get the type of game they want.

Anyway, I cant see how anyone can suggest taking away options is a good thing. Thats just dumb.

1st calling my points dumb is very non productive and down right unnecessary. We are all grown men discussing a hobby we all share here no need to be disrespectful.

2nd it's not a matter of enforcing anybody's concept of realistic on others. It's basing the product on the video game court so that it mirrors what happens on the real court. If that isn't SIM what is? All we hear from developers are how they are trying to make games as SIM as possible.

There will be game levels and honestly I wouldn't mind a arcade and SIM option for gamers. I think people undervalue the act that not having the game tuned to be sim out of the box is the reason why SIM gamers struggle to get a solid SIM product every year.

Unrelated to what is being commented lately in this topic what I also liked in these clips are the off-ball animation on offense. Finally there some explosion and urgency from the AI teammates not like in Live 14 which seemed like they dragged all over the court. Despite that these need to be more often, in LeBron's dive to the basket Love should've spot up from a kickout three in the corner if he wanted to pass it, instead he was walking slowly not trying to leave his defender behind, I really hope that in the extra month they've now they fix that and the other several stuff that needs fixing.

That's sad....I'm sorry, but this day and age they really need to be adding way more animations. I understand they want to give control, but people want signature playing styles and smoother gameplay. The only way is more animations. As far as dribbling and the like I prefer how they have it and always have pretty much, but everything definitely needs to be added to.

This is one of the problems in most games when running sets. Must guys are kind of jogging to the points they need to be at and at nearly as explosive getting open. Which is another thing that kills spacing.

Fine with me. Take your time EA. If you care about the QUALITY of your product, take all the time you need. Also, I want to note on the gameplay videos shown here. I would just like to say that I love the ball speed on with the passing. One of my biggest gripes about the competitor is the players moving faster than the ball for tips and interceptions. As we all know, this is impossible and shouldn't be in any so called sim basketball game. I'm not looking for EA to blow the competitor out of the water, I just want them to deliver a FUN, FUNCTIONAL, game.

500 animations was added for driving to the lane or layups/dunks I believe.

O'Brien talked about it but he also said that those animations were only one area.

There were animations added in other areas as well. I don't think he meant only 500 animations were added and they were only for driving in the lane... Cuz if that's the case you're right that is a shame lol.
