As one who has found a way in the past to rationalize EA's decisions, I am disappointed with NHL on the XB1. The AI behaves very similar to last gen, as do the goaltenders. Neutral zone pressure is non-existent. Offensive AI is the typical tape to tape cross ice laser guided passes. The look of the game is pretty good, but the hype for the atmosphere is overdone because I feel like you only experience that during the pre-game. Once the puck drops, you're looking at the ice surface and players for the most part. Commentary is mediocre, I've yet to hear Doc Emrick actually sound like the guy on TV. As I'm reading this, it sounds like kind of an angry rant, but sadly this is all just honest observation. I won't be buying NHL at launch, I will wait and see what sort of support the game gets later.

NHL 15 looks amazing on PS4/XB1.

I played 6 hours of next-gen NHL 15 and then played a few games of NHL 14.

NHL 15 looks like higher resolution version of NHL 14. The graphics are not fundamentally different, but obviously the next-gen version is sharper.

Yeah, I would say madden is by far the worst looking of the major sport titles out right now.
