I ended the tournament at -9 or -10 (can't remember). I echo what you're saying here. I'll add that keeping tee shots in fairways on many of the holes is important.

The greens are, for the most part, flat, which helps scoring but getting on them in regulation is definitely the tricky part! Having a couple chip-ins helps as well.

That's what mostly doomed me in my 1st round +30...bad tee shots.
