I have been playing NHL since day 1 (early 90s)....i've bought 2K a couple times when EA feel off the wagon a bit. EA took over again, in my eyes, when they invented the skill stick.
I'm a season/GM player first....I do like the idea of EASHL and what not but the problem I've had is that people aren't playing the game the way I like it and that's what matters if I want to have a great experience.
There is too much trooling, offsides, ****ty goalies, people quitting, glitch goals, people not playing defense, etc etc.
EA, who I have mix feelings about, wants to put out a bran new experience then im all game........I am a sim player...I want the experience of playing a FULL season (82 games) and have the chance to make the playoffs.
I want a TV style presentation and that's what EA is aiming for with their new product....I dont have enough time to play the whole Be a GM season and go crazy on EASHL....82 games plus playoffs is good enough......if EA wants to take more time to build a new online experience where glitch goals and all the other crap that I cant stand gets fixed then I'm all game.
Also, I just finished my MLB the show season with the Red Sox and just like the red sox I **** the bed.....so with NBA 2K15 coming....Madden 15 (hopefully they finally get that game right)....and NHL 15, there is no way I have time for online play.
If people play just NHL for EASHL I can totally understand their frustration but as for a person who works full time, father of 2....and huge sports fan and gamer....I don't have time to get online and get frustrated with the game.
Do I want to play with my friends that are all over Canada in a league?...hell yeah....but with the product they have had (in my opinion) I'm not 100% satisfied.
The gameplay and presentation has me jumping for fn joy, I've been waiting for this experience for a LONG LONG time, the videos I have seen has me ****ting my pants. The atmosphere with the combination of the best commentary in all of hockey (sorry CBC) is awesome in all ways.
Not to sniff Rammers ***...but they put out 14 last year and I almost didn't buy it because it was basically the same as 13......so if they took a whole year to fix the game from the ground up and give us a new experience then Im ALL GAME. Its prob not easy to make everyone happy so why doesn't everyone just chill until they play the game and look to the future. I'm sure the new experience of EASHL will blow people away.
Take a year....get use to the new gameplay...and just have fun. There is 1vs1 and patches coming like he said.

I know custom sound isn't in the game (Not EA fault) but just like some other posters stated, can we expect a patch for this once/if ps4/xbone enable? Or is this out completely for 15?

Thanks!

I look forward to this game and applaud Sean and his team for what they could get done. I understand what it's like to have to make big decisions that affect a number of people (no, not a million) and it must have made Rammer sick to watch his team getting bashed while working double shifts. Working under a deadline is tough work whether it's lifting a shovel or programming a puck bouncing. I'll miss OTP but I can wait til winter to play. Live the Life was getting fun in NHL 14, but I can get mostly the same experience in BAP. Thanks for the hard work Rammer. I've been around since NHL Hockey on the Genesis and I'll stick around til my wife stops letting me buy consoles!

Have there been any changes to how sliders work? Specifically I'm wondering about the pass reception and pass accuracy. While I love EA's NHL title every year, there are far too many completed passes in the game. There needs to be many, many passes that simply miss their mark, many that are mishandled by the player receiving the pass, bouncing over sticks (which has been shown), etc. I'm hoping that if it's not already in the game that we can make adjustments with sliders.

I realize he's done asking questions, but I'll put this in here anyway:

How is it that NBA Live has the United Center, but NHL doesn't?? Hopefully someone knows.

The only thing that will save this game is gameplay. But based on the videos so far.... I dont see much improvements. Yes i know its hard to see because its like a movie clips presentation instead of 2 knowledgeable guys showing the actual gameplay.

EA keep using "we built from the ground up" .....thats a lie! EA will release the same old game and will just patch it up....how I wish when companies release their products....its already polished and the only patch we will get is the rosters.

Completely avoided every question in both chats that took any kind of thought to answer. Just the same canned responses about how they will try to do this or that. I would have loved an answer to that slapshot video question or any gameplay related question.
