The future of GM Connected is TBD.
When we look at the data of how many people are actually playing the mode, it is VERY small relative to our other modes.
One of the things that we need to be careful of moving forward is to not spread ourselves too thin.
On G3, we have a lot of modes that get minimal use.
Maintaining these modes year on year (even if we don't add any new features) is very costly and it takes away from us working on other features in the more played modes which is why I say that the future is TBD based on current usage.
When we first put GMC in, it was a highly requested mode from our fans but that hasn't translated into the usage we expected.

Unless I missed it, he did not answer any of the several questions concerning the quality of BE A GM. The only question answered concerning it was basically saying it is in the game. That scares me.

He didn't answer most questions, period, nor did he share any new insight that wasn't in the OS interview. Not that shocking though, considering.

I'm really hoping we get some sort of update this week that details the modes that are going to be available now that we know which ones aren't.

Sean,

Being that I mainly played Online Be A GM and EASHL, how can you sell me on your upcoming NHL 15 release? I love the presentation addition of the NBC broadcast overlays and commentary team. However, in a world where money doesn't fall from trees, I cannot play OTP and have fun with it because there will be others who will pour quite literally hundreds of dollars into their roster. What are some (if any) ways that we can earn the in game currency to gain more packs? Thanks in advance for your time, if you are still answering questions.

My guess is that the purpose of the q and a was to explain the lack of modes and why they didn't make it as opposed to other specifics about the game. Hopefully we get something about GM mode improvements before release, but if not I'm sure people with ea access will be posting everything when its available so we will know either way by the 9th

I would imagine BAGM is one of the last reveals we have left, that's why he didn't get into specifics. After a couple of years of no devs being on the site, it's nice that Rammer spent any time here. He gets to answer what he wants, everyone knows this is basically a softball press conference. He did answer more than usual and even took more criticism than I thought he would. I'm glad he made an appearance over here and it seemed like a civil yet disappointed/angry tone. Maybe more of the NHL team will come back. Thank you Ramjagsingh for stopping by OS. Please don't be a stranger.

Also, on the odd chance that Rammer is still watching, or if anyone can ship this idea to someone at EA. If you can't put GMC back in, can you at least set up a vs. mode with custom rosters and sliders? That way the GMC guys can at least have a pen and paper fantasy draft league.

Hi Sean,

we're a community of around 40-50 active players, playing online hockey since 1996 (www.nhml.de). People from Austria, Switzerland and Germany participate in a full regular season and Stanley Cup playoffs, we even do a team lottery, team draft and other events around the season. After the season is done we play a World Cup, Calder Cup etc. to keept everyone entertained for a full year.
We got used to GMC now and the news about cutting GMC was devastating. Please don't forget leagues with dedicated players, that also play a lot of HUT, EASHL and Online Versus on the site.
Please bring back a simple season/league mode with trades, salary cap , different options of schedules (short/medium/full 82 games) and so on, no need of co-op or something like that.
We can only work and play with what you give us with each version. NHL 15 will be a tough test for our community, because we (once again) have to build our own schedule and keep stats manually. We decided to go next gen months ago.

Could you please think about implementing a season mode for the dedicated group of players out there that still loves the classic league/season mode?

best regards from Germany
Stephan

Sorry if someone already brought this up, but is there a plan for the defense to get full stick control in the future of the series? This game lacks balance because the defense has no weapons to offset everything that can be done on offense.
