Game Design is still an artistic profession. Until the game is released, the designers have creative control over their game. That includes how it is marketed. Now, they may not know this - but it is the truth. If they don't like how it is being marketed or treated, they have the power to change things. Deadlines work both ways.

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay

I plan on getting an Xbox One asap and will be getting EA Access. Seems like a good value to me. $30 bucks and I don't have to buy BF4, which my friends play a bunch of, and FIFA. I wouldn't have bought either used even though I play both. Budget is tight. So I see it has paying 15 bucks for each. Yeah I don't keep them forever but they will be replaced with other games and if they are wack I can just not renew.

If someone really paid thirty just to play madden 5 days early they have plenty of money to burn so I don't see why they are throwing heat at EA because they assumed something that wasn't stated. No one forced anyone to buy it right away...

Looking over everything that has transpired since yesterday. "5 days early access" could be misleading.

I'll just get refunded and purchase Diablo.

Eh I think some of yall are overestimating how many people wanted this to play Madden early.. go over to IGN when the articles about EA access first started comig out. The general gaming community didn't care about Maddens early access at all. Here its a big deal of course but its far from the biggest sellig point. If it was I would agree with you.

Like if this was season ticket, which I think was paying soley to play early right? Then the length of time is the main selling point.

It's misleading if you only read that line. It clearly states the trial may only be for two hours.

If it was labeled as 6 hours upfront, I would have still bought it.

Work, marriage and family and I don't have a bunch of free time. I'll barely burn up the 6 hours as is.

For me, it works, for others not like me, probably not.

To each their own on that.

If people go to Steve's first post on EA Access, there is an *. The * at the bottom says something like restrictions and exclusions apply and directs you to the website that states limited playing time. I agree, everyone's interpretation of limited time is subjective and they could have been more crystal clear on that.

This is what I am wondering as well. If it is just actually in game, then that changes things. I have plenty of things that I could get set up for next Tuesday. If it is from right when you start up the game or push start, then I will have to plan a bit differently.

Also curious to see if you are mid-game and your time runs out if the game just stops.
