The only reason to do that is if you're afraid people will play it on this and not buy the game, but the ONLY way players don't buy the full game is if it sucks.
But they didn't though, this was fully disclosed.

So, do you think players will think M15 sucks?
I agree that there was a lack of direct communication, but it is stated on the EA Access site that there are time limits on Early Access as low as 2 hours. Most assumed there wouldn't be on sports games due to Season Ticket (as you stated), but that's all they were - assumptions.

I don't feel like they are afraid of people seeing the game at all. There are a ton of copies out to media outlets and prominent community members. There is no NDA on media (I'm watching a stream on Twitch right now). I think they are EXTREMELY confident with their game.

The time limit was put on by EA, not EA Sports or Tiburon. The time limit isn't the Madden team's fault, I don't believe.

I know how things work there. The only way this went through this way was if it were put forth by marketing and none of the developers (including Rex) had the guts to stand up and say this was crap. So, they either lack confidence in their game - or they're too meek to stand up to marketing. Either way, its a poop sandwich for us.

I just don't get why they don't value their consumers. Its stuff like this that got them voted the worst company in America this year.

They did not wait to tell us it would be restricted. We knew right away that it could possibly only be 2 hours of early access.

THIS was the main point I think. People assumed because of past experiences OR whatever the case, that it would be different. And they assumed it so hard, they started believing it all as fact (especially since EA was so quiet about it and not actually giving the true facts), and when it wasn't fact (when EA released info), they got all pissed off.

I check every outlet. That was never confirmed or even put out there by any reliable source.

This obviously pisses everyone off, so why do it at all?

What is the benefit unless they're afraid that guys won't buy the actual game after playing it for a few days?
