yeah, that sounds good and should make for a good collaboration effort. Hopefully, Madden chooses to collaborate more. lol. Specifically, "puck independence". This is so UNBELIEVEABLY IMPORTANT for ANY sports game! And, to date, imo, Madden has only tried to implement this ONCE. When Madden 13 first came out, I legitimately felt like the ball was it's own entity, and the game played out that way and played fairly well. But, after the first or 2nd patch, this went away. Since then, and in every single edition of Madden, they have "tethered" the football to whatever is going on instead of making the football it's own object. I believe 2K did this fairly well, and I'll tell u what game did this, absolutely, was NFL Gameday (96 and 97. 98 moved to tethering if I remember correctly, or felt like it did). Here again, Fifa does a PHENOMENAL job of implementing Soccer ball physics. And, that is NOT easy to do. So much happens with spin, swerve, crossing, etc to soccer balls. Here again, this should be easier to do for a football (in flight, not on the ground bouncing around. A bouncing football would be more difficult than a bouncing soccer ball or puck, imo because of the pointy ends. lol). But, in flight from a qb, it needs to have it's own physics or flight path. I'm not sure exactly what Madden team is doing with the ball. They may indeed be coding for some sort of physics on a flight path, but it still just doesn't feel separate and interactive. It still feels "tethered" to me. And, from the videos, obviously the inaccuracies are an improvement and will hopefully give a less "tethered" feel, but I have to say that even on the errant throws out of bounds, there is still a lack of "feeling" to the ball. Something just isn't real about it, and it still looks "tethered" to landing on the ground. Idk, maybe it's just me, lol, but ultimately I want to see some changes to the ball physics, for sure. And, if that happens, I believe a lot of what we want to see will happen, more inaccuracies, more swats instead of ints, more wr highpointing catches with everything playing out more realistically.

All kinds of confusion now

@MadScientist06: @jpdavis1982 @ClintOldenburg I was just in CFM yesterday looking at signature throwing motions--they can be edited in off-line rosters.

I dont doubt the options are in the game, dont doubt the sig throwing motions are in the game. But they are not triggering during actual gameplay. Ever since they introduced the new passing trajectories in Madden 13 I havent noticed sig throwing motions.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Gameplay Videos - Day 1

I really hope the gameplay has taken a step in the sim direction.. That's absolutely great if this year feels more like football than madden ball. But, If they don't get these animations in this game right next year, this game is a bust imo, and it will never improve like it should. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm honestly disappointed now. This game should animate way better.

So next year.. If they actually take an initiative to improve animations, this is what they need to do. Signature drop back & throw animations for every QB. This is next Gen no excuses. At least 3 different run styles.. particularly, but not limited to, running backs: Speedy, Power, Finesse. With varied skill traits. Like an RPG.

If they actually do this.. I guarantee the scenario for their usual yearly promotional campaign will be something like this: "In madden 15 we've realized our animations were woefully bad. With Madden 16's "Real eMotion (TM)" we've revolutionized the way you've looked at football animations forever. Get this.. The players actually move, and react like real football players."

Call it the "Real eMotion" engine or whatever you have to market it as. "In Madden 16 we're putting real emotion back into motion."

You're welcome Tiburon.. You can even have that at no charge. Just do it man.

Edit.. I'll take royalties though. lol

Seriously, if I see the same stuff next year, I might get banned from OS.

See it's little things like this that confuse me, just like the guys in shorts on the sideline in winter. These devs and testers play thousands of hours of the game, and nobody notices when they break something like QB stances? Or that they've just redone snow again, it looks great, but everyone else in the stadium is dressed like summer?

Probably has to do with the development process over there at Tiburon. One person usually calls the shots for each part of the game. No meddling or input if you don't work on that aspect of the game.
