Re: NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

am I the only one who realized "the other game" released info admitting their dynasty mode was pushed to the back burner then 2k unleashes their "association on steroids"?

counter-punching indeed

No more Live/2k talk folks. We can talk about this feature without bringing up the other game.

And just like that, 2K has recouped all the trust it lost last year.

I'am really glad they realised they went too far with the VC with 2K14. I was afraid it was only gonna get worse from that point on and become their new standard.

Re: NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

A few tidbits:

Couch Co-op = YES.

I started a new MyLEAGUE earlier today, in the 8th season now. The number of 90+ players in the league in year 8 is the same number as in year 1. Anyone who has a history with our game knows how great that is.

I've seen a few questions about setting injuries manually. That isn't something we support in the game right now. If you guys need it, I'll see if we can add it before ship. No promises, so don't hold it against me if it doesn't make it!

You can trade picks up to 3 years in advance now (instead of 1).

Really, this mode is for you guys. Once you get it, I want to hear what you like, what you don't like, and what you think is missing.

Re: NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

Outstanding news. What a wonderful redirection toward NBA replication. Further, outstanding media delivery. Kudos to OperationSports for the in-depth interview (and 2K's cooperation). It honestly felt like I was reading an OS archived NBA 2K3 interview with Derrick Aynaga. I'll take detailed breakdowns like this any day over hype videos with hashtags and style over substance. Well done, folks.

Some of my favorite aspects mentioned:

-The return of local saves
-Classic teams still present
-VC not being at all required (but still being earn-able)
-16 body part durability, with players capable of breaking down
-Career-ending injuries
-Accessories added to injured players

The majority of this article was gold. For an NBA simulation, I tend to believe in the mantra, "When in doubt, try to imitate real life." This is a great return step in the right direction with many new fun additions to boot. Here's hoping this is just the beginning.

I do not tend to be a guy who knee jerks in one direction or the other very easily ("Not buying!" vs. "Pre-ordering now!) and I understand there's still a long way to go. However, I must say, NBA 2K15 has my attention.
