I thought EA announced their partnership with the refs mid-season last year, hence we saw the EA badges on ref kits in the BPL.

Totally agree!!! As an EPL nut, I'm all in this year. As much as I'm bummed that there are no NCAA games anymore, FIFA has filled that hole nicely for me. Can't wait to drop points at Stoke and Swansea like usual... Sigh...

Was really happy to see this news today. THIS is effective marketing. Honestly I didn't expect any of it as we didn't have any concrete evidence of scans or new stadiums up until this point.

Apparently we've got reason to be excited for tomorrow as well. I would think a similar announcement is due sometime between now and Gamescom. I'm guessing either the Bundesliga (official partners with EA since last year IIRC) or Serie A (who had that press release with EA not too long ago) will get the same treatment... or maybe La Liga.

Hopefully EA can continue to make this kind of commitment to other leagues in the future as this made a lot of people happy.

It's the Turkish League. I'm calling it right now. Futhead has been begging EA for the Turkish League for as long as I could remember.
