Fair enough, but even so. Why can't they see the flaws in their methodology, and be wise enough to amend their practices to make a better game?

I am pretty sure that the marketing team forces Donny to increase popular players' ratings. I remember DCEBB2001 saying that he found that out a while back

Well, players are popular because they're good; which they should get good ratings because of that. Even so, the methodology to the madness is flawed, and NEEDS to be fixed. BY MADDEN 16!

Gman 18 answered it. We have seen in this thread what happens when Donny's ratings make certain fanbases unhappy. EA's marketing guys see it as bad press.

If only Donny rated players like DCEBB, then the game would play a lot better and we would see more and better looking animations but of course most casual fans would complain
