I seriously like the idea of lower ratings like 2k almost. But basketball isn't football. There's way more parity than Brady 98/Eli 63... Until you guys perfect this I've wrote these ratings off as BLASPHEMY lol. Danny Moore if you can read this. You're an angel. Go EA!!!

I wanted to give you guys a try but you prove to be worst than Danny Moore at this point. Keep trying tho I believe one day you guys will figure it out. I like the idea of lowering ratings but it seems to be little consistency.
Did you read the FAQ page on the website? You may want to read that first...especially #6.

Manning is coming off of an injury and surgery. His OVR will rise as he heals up and proves he can play at a level that may be more "deserving" of his OVR rating.

Schwartz and Brewer will be in a battle to start at LG. Minnesota tried everything to get Schwartz to replace Fusco last year, and couldn't. Brewer at least started and was demoted. Schwartz is the starter right now, but that could change. Keep in mind that players are evaluated on ability and traits, NOT production. Believe it or not, sometimes a better player will be behind a lesser player on the depth chart. See the Jets QB situation right now for an example.

Chung and Rolle - look at their abilities. One is a thumper, the other is a coverage SS. Don't just look at the OVR. Sure, they are the same position, but are two totally different style of player.

We are not biased. We only interpret and interpolate the data into Madden ratings. I would love to see my Packers with 99s across the board, but if the data doesn't reflect that, then neither do we.

That makes no sense either. I know I'm a Giants fan, I also know most football fans hate us especially Eli. And I see it clearly on FBG. McBride was rated the number one corner in real life but has incredibly low man and zone coverage skills on FBG. Where did they get they're suppose research on that?
But the reason for his rating was his injury. I don't mind Eli at all. His stats don't have anything to do with his rating. Once he is healthy, I am sure he will be up in the upper 70s low 80s like he was before. When it comes to Schwartz and Brewer, you have to look at their traits. Brewer is a younger, better athlete. He gets most of his age through his physical traits and his footwork. The difference is only 3 points. If Schwartz hangs on to the job, then he will be rated accordingly - trust me. But if Brewer wins out, I wonder if I will see you back here ready to eat your crow pie? I can't tell you how many times I have seen a guy behind on the depth chart with a higher rating than the guy in front win a position battle by the time the regular season comes around. Happens every year. This may be one of those cases. If it is, then the preseason ratings were correct. If it isn't then I am positive that the scouts will adjust the ratings for either player or both. Keep in mind that these are done in real-time, and while position battles wax and wane during training camps, so do the ratings.

If you read what I said, I compared it more to the likes of Lindy's, Pro Football Weekly, and ESPN NFL 2K, not NBA 2K. Once again, Eli was hurt, had surgery, and is coming off of the recovery. As he improves and shows he is healthy, his ratings will come back up. If you want to write these off, that's fine, go right ahead. But I will tell you that there are some pretty reputable OSers and Madden vets that swear by them - read the other ratings threads and see the posts about people favoring FBG Ratings over those of Donny Moore. I don't even have to bring the site up anymore - it is starting to get recognition by other OSers on its own. However, if you like a game where players are rated without data, consistency, or logic, then I cannot compete with Donny Moore. That guy has the market cornered on those types of ratings year in and year out.

That would be kool if true, but Cam had a more serious injury which he actually is STILL hurt while Eli played a full quarter of NFL football last night. And as of 8-2( last reported update) Eli was still ranked as the 55th highest QB. Cam suffered no such drop.

What ever Rolle does in his style... He does several times better than Chung does in Chung's style. That's why Rolle is a Pro Bowler and Chung is not. Also what about your data made McBride so lowly rated? Schwartz isn't in a battle with Brewer either. Brewer is in a battle to even make the roster. I mean look him up on PFF it might help, Schwartz' ranked highly there. I just don't see how you're really taking into consideration actual talent. Eli Manning is definitely not hurt either. I'd be willing to be a trip to Monte Carlo that Brewer doesn't starts over Schwartz or much less even makes the roster.

Eli is also older and believe me injuries take more time to get back to 100%. Not to mention that Eli was probably already lower than Cam to begin with based on last season. Each player is rated on an individual basis. Obviously the scouts see Manning's injury and situation a bit more daunting than Cam's right now. Keep in mind that even if he jumps up 10 points once the medical holds are removed, that will put him back in the top 15. Just 2 weeks ago he was at a 55 OVR, so in two weeks he has already jumped up 8 points. Based on what he has done this far in camp, he should only go up higher as his situation improves (if it improves). You must be patient. Changes like this don't happen overnight, even if the website is updated that quickly. It is a gradual progression.
