I like the drop off as well, but really think it should have been after #3 and have Weddle a little lower. Still at #4 just a little lower.

Byrd only played 11 games last year, hence the lower stats. I think they should be about the same OVR

Of course Byrd is the highest rated FS the year after he leaves Buffalo. Also, Byrd is definitely among the top 2 in the league. He has a great eye for the ball and amazing reaction times.

I'm confused, Woodson over Will Hill? Lol. I'm not even asking for Hill to be top five I'm just not getting the Woodson rating. I guess it's one of those hey we like you. I know these ratings change but c'mon man.

Re: Madden NFL 15 - Top Free Safeties

Ahead of CWood is guys like;

Dashon Goldson
Tashaun Gipson
Will Hill/Rolle
Demps
Reggie Nelson
Cowboys safety
Eric Reid

Woodson is a household name but not a top 5 gamechanger he once was, let alone at safety.

Re: Madden NFL 15 - Top Free Safeties

There is a big drop off from Weddle to Woodson, so Woodson is probably in the tier of the guys listed as "being better than Woodson", lets not get carried away with the Top 5 designation. He has such a high rating due to AWR, PRC, and probably a few other categories that are based more on football intelligence.

Earl Thomas is the best. Makes that entire secondary go. Honestly if Sherman is a 99 Thomas should be a 99.5
