I'm pretty sure when he announced he was changing his number it was during the season, long before FA started or which team he thought he was going to.

I'm glad he selected number 23. I'd prefer for #6 to stick in its little time bubble in Miami. It feels right to go back to 2-3. I kind of wish they brought back his Cleveland style jerseys too, but that kind of thing doesn't happen. I guess the new jerseys will help history distinguish first Cleveland LeBron from second Cleveland LeBron.
