Price for less, you're bugging! They can get a Kings Ransom for D. Price! But he's not being traded now anyways.

The Tigers just traded for Soria in case Nathan falters, no reason to go after another closer. I actually like McGehee (Not McGee), but no way they move Castellanos for that package.

Re: MLB The Show: Potential Deadline Trades to Change the Game

I would actually be kind of happy if the Mets made that swap for Javier Baez. They have enough young pitching with Harvey and Noah coming back next year (the latter being called up). I'd like to see the Mets get some more exciting position players on the field. Baez certainly is that.

I like Wheeler a lot and feel as though his ceiling is high. At this point I say, why not make the move? He isn't the pitcher Harvey is, and deGrom fits easily into his slot in the rotation. Wheeler has been very good, maybe not the level I thought he would be at to this point.

I have no clue why Baltimore would even consider doing that trade for Stanton. They already lead the league in home runs and really don't need a bat not to mention getting rid of Jones who is 1 of the few players with any speed on the team leaves a pretty big hole in center.

There's no way the Braves would consider that trade for Pablo.

You said it yourself--Wood has many years of team control left, and he's already an exceptional left-handed pitcher, so why would the Braves sacrifice that for half a year of Sandoval? Not to mention, they would then be on the hook for the rest of Chris Johnson's contract.

No way the Cubs trade Javy Baez straight up for Wheeler. That just isn't happening. Over the last 28 days, his slash has been .310/.386/.610/1.007 with 15 XBH, including 6 HR. His K rate has dropped to 20% in that time.

Zach Wheeler is already 3 years older than Javy, and already burning through service time. His WHIP over 1.3 is unsavory, and he's been barely above replacement this year, sporting a 0.7 WAR.

Bad trade idea is bad.

Yes, Price for less. There is no way the M's trade their top 3 prospects for a year and a half rental especially when they need hitting.

No way would the Mets trade Wheeler. He is a big part of that rotation and it's future.
