Third and fourth liners should rarely be able to control bouncing passes while a Patrick Kane should be able to knock it down a d control it. Either way, it looks from the video like the game is headed in the right direction.
I don't know, man. It definitely becomes a can of worms if they don't include something like a pass reception attribute (a pretty good idea!). If they don't, it runs the risk of becoming broken VERY easily.

Exactly, and then you need to make sure the attributes work properly. The idea that 3rd and 4th line NHL'ers can't complete simple passes without losing the puck or have it hop over their stick is somewhat out there anyway. These guys play at the NHL level, they're not total scrubs to begin with.

I honestly believe there are times where people are asking for things that actual go beyond what is truly realistic to begin with.

I'm worried about the goalies. They look pretty much the same as they have the past 2 years.

I think the game has just been so far in the other direction for so long that people overreact. It's more or less felt like you've got 4 lines of the same players, some just happen to skate a bit faster than others over the past __ years in the series.

I don't necessarily want to see 4th line guys looking like peewee players, I just want to see more separation, more effective attributes and most importantly as an offline player: more effective sliders.

nothing more i can add than i have over the past few years. Rammer, id assume wants a solid NHL game, but he just does as the bosses tell him etc.

one thing that worries me...

puck bounces over our sticks, yet somehow morphs onto the CPU's stick etc. i just hope the puck is actually more loose than ever before.

Lets not get crazy here. I assume we know that I don't literally mean than a third or fourth liner can't complete a pass. I'm simply saying that great players have an ability to gain and maintain control of the puck better than other players. I've seen passes way behind Kane, or in his skates that he controls and doesn't break stride. Not everyone can do that. That's my point. And I don't think it's opening up a can of worms. It just doesn't need to be overdone. Players have different abilities to receive passes in real life and it should be replicated in the game. That's all.

Lastly, the pass reception and pass accuracy slider should be much, much more effective. If I crank them both all the way down then at that point the game should look like the "broken" game some are eluding to. If I have it all the way up, well then it should be the arcade-style tape-to-tape passing game that causal gamers enjoy so much. Me, I ordered the most realistic game possible. I wnt to be able to play full-length periods and have realistic stats. And that's not possible until there are tons and tons more loose pucks.

I'm wondering if it would be such a stretch to think that there may be some additional (or re-worked) sliders this year with the new puck and player physics?

Just curious what people's feelings on this are.
