Re: Don Bradman Cricket 14: A Baseball Fan Takes a Look

For those with the game or looking to buy it, a second patch came out a week or so ago that fixes a lot of the issues that many on another forum (cricket-gaming-specific) were finding.

Truth is, Big Ant are doing a great job listening to avid, knowledgeable fans, and where they can and where they deem important enough, making those fixes available in patches. One of the benefits of a smaller (but by no means indie) company in a subset sports market... they can easily listen to fans and find out what they want in a cricket game.

I've played only a bit so far, but the fact that it was available for the 360 in the US was enough to sell me. I never got to play any of the past cricket games, but reviews I've read can attest to how terrible they were. DBC is a great representation of the game, and as the first in what I presume to be many more in a series, an excellent starting point.

I know nothing about cricket. Checked out this video review on IGN and it looks a bit overwhelming to play esp with no tutorial mode.

Just an FYI for reviewer; "I have no idea what constitutes a good inning..." The term describing each teams round of batting in cricket is an "innings". I know it's plural but that's the way it is said and spelled.
