I'd leave 2K out of the thread. Been warned already in multiple threads.

I believe the point to that is shoulder tackles aren't the normal "Madden" kind we see in game..also when 180 CB shoulder tackles larger player who is running directly at said 180 CB and CB "wins" is an issue as well

What people are referring to is context, plenty of things have and can happen in the NFL, David Tyree catch, the immaculate reception, a QB catching their own pass after it's deflected into the air, etc but that doesn't mean it should be routine in Madden. I'm not even saying that the shoulder tackles shown in that video are routine in M15, I hope they aren't, just when you see them displayed in a video touting tackling improvements, it makes one wonder.

For what it's worth, I tweeted Clint today to tell him that I thought the video looked "better", but it still had a way to go. The player movement and animations are still an eye sore, and the WWE shoulder tackles were silly. He completely agreed, which gives me hope that that crap will finally be out of madden. Some of it can be kind of silly, like this

Re: Madden NFL 15 Trailer - Tackling Mechanics

I think I'm the ONLY sim guy that loves the hard tackles! Lol. NOBODY likes the shoulder tackles? I know u rarely see that in real life, but it has been done. And, no, I don't want to see it EVERY tackle. But, for me, I love seeing my high hit power MLB thump some fool coming over the middle. Most of the time, I personally go for normal tackles, but when I see the play developing properly and time my spacing and positioning just right, I want to see the BLAST!! Lol. Btw, crank up fumbles and you'll see less hard hit tackles. I have CPU fumbles at 69, and I only see really hard hits a few times per game. So, for those that want more wrap up tackles, that CAN be adjusted. I definitely don't want to see the hard hits removed. Goodell is trying to remove them from the real game and that's fine, I understand real life injury concerns. But, as much as I want sim, I think this is the one area that I dig a little arcade style, WHAP!!! Got u, sucka!!! Whoooo, boy!!! How's that feel? I just hit that fool so hard, his momma died! But, I would hate seeing NFL blitz type tackles.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Trailer - Tackling Mechanics

I just want physics based tackles or tackles that respect physics. I hate when a player gets hit square and still stumbles forward for 3-4 yards somehow. The shoulder tackles should throw a flag every now and then just like real life as well. It would be realistic and help curb abuse of it.

This was probably the best Madden 15 I've seen. The animations were smoother. I want to see it from the actual gameplay camera before I believe that's how it truly plays though.
