Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

I dont know why, but with this rerated roster its seems Im seeing animations I havent seen before. Its also seems I see less come backers at the pitchers which is a good thing.

Maybe its just my imagination, but it sure seems like these rerates have pulled some new animations out.

What I have found as well as is there is a lot more of a differntial from good players and teams to bad ones, and you can really tell a difference playing with MILB teams.

These rerates have definitely made the game much better, and for people who just look at the ratings without giving the roster a chance is sadly missing out on some great gameplay and stats. I have did some editing to speed because I didnt like how that was done, along with setting things back to OD with rotations and lineups, but everything else is great imo.

Great work by all who worked on this!

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

Update:

The ps3 to ps4 conversion really did a number on skin tone and stubble/beards. I'm strictly working from the ps4 so this is being corrected as I go along. I'm also fixing/tweaking minor league faces as many were looking a little rough. Players have been recreated if they did not have the proper position flexibility. Ht/wt and age errors were rampant for some teams. Minor league player ratings are being tweaked as I see fit. Quite a few have been rerated already.

I'm almost done with the AL East. Created Bichette, Gumbs, and Francisco Rondon for the Yankees and added in an edited Turley. I noticed the Rays are missing Toles, O'Conner, and Goeddel so they'll be created. There's still a ways to go.

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

Forgive me for intruding where I probably don't belong; I'm not able to create a thread of my own. Feel free to move this appropriately if needed.

This is the first The Show I've played in a few seasons, I think 12 I had last and since it was pre-owned after 13 was released, I did all the roster updates by transferring from USB to my system and never used the built in database, ever, until this year.

Is there a "definitive" version of OS rosters to use? I think I'm using Opening Day v2 but I see talk of other versions with various updates to whatever. I like my games as realistic as possible and I appreciate the amount of work put in by everyone involved in this huge project. Are there different versions that include real prospects for "x" years or is it strictly signed minor rosters, and separate for strictly unsigned prospects?

I apologize for my lack of knowledge in this area and I do hope to learn quickly what the terms used here are. I've glazed over other threads and find myself more confused than anything. A guiding hand would be greatly welcome to help me get the best experience with this game and project.

Thanks a lot!

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

I'm looking for someone who can go through some teams and double check ht/wt, age, positions, set 40 man rosters, edit appearances, etc. for me. This would be DET, KC, MIN, the NL East and the NL Central. All other teams have been completed by me. I'd give you the roster and you'd be able to see what I've done with improving minor league player face/appearance edits and some rerates. I have a list of 20+ players to create and want to focus my efforts there for the time being.

Additionally, if you guys can help me out with stances/pitching motions for the following players it will save me some time:

RJ Hively RP ARI AA
Jimmie Sherfy RP ARI AA
Matt Shelton RP LAD AA
Tucker Healy RP OAK AA
Seth Frankoff RP OAK AAA
Steve Selsky LF/RF/1B CIN AAA
Kyle Waldrop RF/LF/1B CIN AA
Raisel Iglesias SP CIN AAA
Conrad Gregor 1B HOU A
Charles Cutler C CHN AA
P.J. Francescon P CHN AA
Hunter Cervenka P CHN AA
Luis Diaz SP BOS AA
Phil Klein RP TEX AAA
Josh Johnson UTIL WSH AAA
Quincy Latimore OF WSH AA
Travis Tartamalla C STL AA
Kyle Hald SP STL AA
Steven Brault SP BAL A

Don't be bashful! Any help that you can provide is very much appreciated.

There's been multiple offline files post somewhere in this thread. I don't know why these offline files haven't been added to the 1st post. Would make it so much easier for people like us wanting offline files.

You can use the attachment icon to find offline files from the main roster section. Look for the paper clip icon located near the thread title. There's actually only 1 offline file attachment for this thread. Click that paper clip icon & you can download it. It's called hybrid 2.1a. Thanks!
