I agree, But I also think you shouldn't be able to stuff a takedown recovering from a strike, specifically, high and spin kicks. It is too easy to stuff properly timed takedowns if you have the high defense stats.

Modified strikes, should also cost permanent stamina especially when whiffed or parried. Ground transitions should be slower, and if you are out of stamina, you should have a hald second to a second cool out period before being able to attempt another, if you are full stamina, that is on thing, but it is anog as hell when someone has someone with lightning ground transitions speed, and they are completely gassed, that I can't transition or attempt a submission between their frantic transitions. That is something THQ got right, when you were gassed, it was hard as hell to move, and your transitions would slow down, making them easier to reverse, or just be too slow to register, and then if you were gassed, you did not want to be caught in a submission because your bar would move so slow and it would be very hard to escape.
To add to this, you shouldn't be able to throw advanced strikes if you're gassed. Nothing worse than seeing a guy do a capoeira kick with no stamina.

It should be slow, awkward, have very little power, and start eating quicker at permenant stamina, but not impossible, it should be bery ineffectve and flat out dumb to do so, they should also be a recovery from it where you are finishing the animation and cannot get your hands back up in time. Punish people for fighting stupid, not reward them for spamming. MMA is a cerebral battle, but as the stamina stands as it is right now, a lot of the thinking mans game is taken out of it.

Funny thing also, I bet the majority of EA UFC players, including the casuals would like to see these changes. Sadly I highly doubt EA has the balls to make the game a more realistic MMA experience. Which in truth makes no sense because they have achieved their initial flood of week one casual sales, why not patch the game for the MMA faithful?

As someone who tried a lot of variety at first in about 150 fights. I decided to embark on using Jones just to see what would happen. Well. I won my first brown belt today and I am currently 1-1 in black. I hate to say it but he makes a difference. Funny thing is I win from all angles with him: ko. GNP. Subs. I know he's the best guy in the game but it's nice to actually win for a bit.

I'm sure casual players would be ok with the change to be fair. Takedowns should be made more difficult when gassed or rocked also.

I think it's going to happen. They responded rather quickly to the complaints about quitters. The game hasn't been out but two weeks. We should give them the benefit of doubt.

That is not to say they didn't screw up with some of the essentials in this game. They clearly sided with the user that wants to pound it out, but at the same time, there is a window for the guy that wants to be patient and be more strategic. It's just very frustrating how a guy that throws so many mod punches can have very little fatigue and easily slip into a takedown when hurt.

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions

I've been having a love hate relationship with this game but I believe that I'm thru with game until changes are made. The body spamming is ridiculous! I faced a guy using Bruce and all he did was a a 6punch combo to my mid and occasionally throw a head shot. The sad thing about this is the higher you go in belts the worse it gets I naively thought it would be more of the opposite. This is what happened to FNC. When they released it the body spamming was a major issue in the beginning, they eventually fixed it. Stamina loss is a problem too. I played a guy using Chuck L and he through 306 strikes with a 26% connect rate I threw I believe 108 strikes with 43% connect , Chuck never got tired smh to say the least. Guys doing nothing but spamming specialized moves with no penalty smh. I'm done with this game until they fix those Major issues and if they don't bye bye to future instalments of EA UFC.
