I dont think short strikes are blockable, which do damage, but I dont think can finish. when you posture up those strikes can finish. but are very blockable.

Hold RT Plus Triangle.
Then after the block transition out.

Thanks. I got a TKO against me because I wasn't blocking but I think I was hitting x instead of y.

However, I can see how you could do it by accident if you weren't aware that it happened.
that explains it then. it can look bad when people are spamming high kicks and such online but you cant tell other people how to play. people want to win so bad they dont care if the fight looks realistic. Me trying to fight a realistic fight gets me in more trouble than anything but i refuse to play as brain dead as the masses do online.

can you stop these queues by simply pressing block at anytime or will they still play out.

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions

Last night I was Mighty Mouse fighting Joseph Benevidez and Joseph leg kicked me ONCE so damn hard I swear my leg was broken. That leg locked up stiff, I couldn't bend it or move it. When I moved back that particular leg just dragged back.

This lasted for me for a good 30 seconds. I was so expecting my fighter to just drop to the ground and hold his leg in pain and scream like a little girl. But then I remembered there is no leg kick TKO in this game. What was even more weird though was that the CPU never attacked the leg again, even though it was badly damaged.

Which brings me to another pet peeve. Why is that when the USER gets damaged, their damage state last a lot longer then the CPU's damage state ?

I have noticed this the more and more I play this game. If you take a hard body shot, your player will automatically drop one hand down and hold his mid section for a good 20 seconds. You can't make him move that hand ether. It just stays down there so you are left defending your face with just one hand. However this same animation don't ever happen to the CPU.

Same thing if you get rocked in the face. The USER will remain rocked for a good 20 seconds, moving very slow. However the CPU can get rocked and recover within 5 seconds and still move as fast as they normally do.

EA needs to equalize the damage.

Another thing I would like to see tuned but probably can't because permanent damage don't carry over round to round, but lets say you got particular body area hurt. It would be nice if the CPU target that hurt part of the body a lot more.

My quick fix suggestion for GamePlayDev to make body shots and leg kicks more valuable would be to lower the leg and body health to the mid 60s and lower. I noticed once you get to light weight division and higher, too many fighters have body and leg health in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Then when you get to middle weight and above too many fighters have leg and body health in the mid 80s to 90s.

From my playing time, I noticed once fighters get above 70 health rating for legs and body, their recovery time is WAY TOO FAST and those particular parts of their body require way too many shots to damage. And when you do damage, they recover in 5 seconds.

However do that to a fighter in the 60s for health and they have a much longer and more realistic looking health stealth animation that they go in.

It reminds me of the same problem Madden and NCAA football had. Their players injury and stamina rating was too damn high. Therefore you rarely saw injuries and people rarely got tired to the point they had to be subbed out. However if you lowered their stamina and injury rating, you saw more injuries and you saw entire defensive lines being subbed out from being tired.

I'd have to look into it, there are some things that flush the queue but I don't remember off the top of my head.

Some stuff has come up today that's going to keep me pretty busy, might be able to get back to answering you better tomorrow.
