And the goalies look the same in their stiff movements and animations.

But the worst part was that check from behind when Ryan McDonagh flattens Williams on the Kings in the open ice. Same dumb, canned animation that is completely unrealistic. How can you hit someone to the ice when they have a step on you towards the goal in the open? Your speed and momentum would need to exceed that player that is in front of you, but EA seems to neglect physics in these situations.

The P.K. one-timer where he wrists one in from the point is also an eye sore. Dropping to your knee to one-time a puck is fine... but not from that far out!
Er I've seen Subban actually DO that on a one timer from about that far out. Just saying.

That's life my friend. There's good and bad in every aspect in your life. Wether you chose to look at things positively or negatively it's your own decision

Everything looks awesome except that last celebration. Looks like user controlled celebrations are still in.

Re: NHL 15: E3 Trailer

Meh. Some times it looked fantastic, like every time they put it in slow-mo to make sure you saw what they wanted you to see - PK's celebration, Kane's celebration, Datsyuk's face, etc. other times it looked identical in every way to 2014. The screens of Nash and McDonagh looked like they were taken directly from NHL 14. I wonder if this trailer was all next gen footage or a mixture of both. Would explain some of the discrepancy in quality. Nash still has no beard and looks like a chunky 14 year old. Kane also didn't look that good, IMO. That's the same scan they've been using for him since he was drafted but, astonishingly, he's not 18 anymore. EA really needs to stop bragging about "unprecedented player likeness" (their exact words) and then using face scans that are 6+ years old. Especially for next gen. The facial scanning tech for the older scans is clearly junk compared to the newer scans we saw last year, and on next gen it just sticks out like a sore thumb that the scan is outdated. They've updated Ovechkin's face three times so far in his career. They need to update the guys whose scans are 5 years or older. I honestly didn't think anything in the trailer looked better than 14 except for a couple of super slowed down, high polished sizzle spots that were meant to stand out. The arenas look great but the player models and animations still look the same.

Also, still no 4500 it looks like, which is massively disappointing. I'm not a stickler for every piece of equipment and little tiny details, but the 4500 is still a MUST have. It is the single most worn helmet in the NHL today. Getzlaf, Toews, Seabrook, Leddy, Sharp, Gaborik, Greene, Ribeiro, Pavelski, Callahan, J. Johnson, Del Zotto, Ehrhoff, Clowe, Stastny, Gorges, Boyle, Dupuis, Grabovski, Stafford, Dubinsky, McDonagh, Nash, Zuccarello, Richards, Stamkos, Malkin... I can easily make a list of over 100 NHL regulars that wear it, and there isn't a helmet that's similar enough as to not throw off the realism. So you can make Jonathan Toews' face as incredible as humanly possible and even let him grow his terrible playoff chops and it still won't look 100% because there's no substitute for his helmet. I don't care about having every stick, or the exact stripes on the gloves or the correct banners in the rafters. The helmet can basically be considered part of the face. It changes the appearance of the distinguishable part of the player that makes them look unique and authentic. The 4500 helmet is worn by dozens of significant players. It needs to be in the game.

Individual celebrations still occur all the time:
Spoiler

As long as it ends with a nice, group hug, I'm down with some user controlled celie's.

No offense meant but this is the type of stuff that drives me crazy in the complaint department, Does Kane not look like Kane because there isn't as many wrinkles in his baby face? Do people honestly expect EA or any other developer for that matter to rebuild every player's face from scratch every couple years? How cost effective do you think that would be?

Same with equipment, or goalie helmets, who EA would need to get artists permission from to use authentic masks or risk getting sued by the mask creators themselves. There's a ton of legal quagmire there that I don't think people take the time to really think about. When you're playing the game from an over head perspective are you really worried about if a player is wearing a Bauer helmet or a CCM helmet? Is it honestly that critical to your enjoyment of the game?

Bench looks great. Love how a few guys are handing on the boards during the fight then the whole bench is up in the background of Kane's close-up celebration.

Emrick is going to breathe so much life into the series,

After seeing the Madden screenshot and then the trailer... I am staying away from the hype train until the game actually comes out. I usually jump all over sports games and they are usually first day buys but with how EA does business these days unfortunately I will be waiting until after the game releases and I can read all the reveiws and see the the REAL graphics.
