Yep, this is the way to go. If you just use "View todays games" to simulate all other games than yours, you start to forget that it's a small extra step all together!

Why hasn't RA Dickey got a changeup in this roster

Because he hardly ever (<1%) uses any pitch that could be considered one. Check his pitch usage.

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

I've played 15 games with these rosters and 12 of the 15 have been meter/timing hitting on all-star with the sliders from page one and the other 3 with meter/zone hitting. Unfortunately I am seeing way to much offense from my team for my liking. Most of the games I hit at least 3 home runs with my most being 6 in one game. I was also getting a bunch of doubles and a few triples hardly any singles.

The bigger issue for me though is the CPU just can't score. It seemed like unless the CPU got lucky in the first couple of innings and got a home run or something I could just shut the CPU down until they hit a random home run late in the game to get on the board.

For the first 12 games I used the Rockies and went 11-1. The game I lost was 5-4 which was a great game. Unfortunately the rest were more like 8-1 on average. So again tons of offense for me none for the CPU.

I then thought maybe try zone hitting so I played 3 games with the Red Sox against the Orioles and won 8-2, 10-2, 12-3. The CPU scored all there runs on home runs except for 1 RBI single. I also walked only 1 batter over 3 games which just seems incredibly low.

In the First game of the series I hit 3 home runs, second game 3 home runs, and the third game 5 home runs. That seems like way to many.

I am not a slider creator but something just seems a bit off. Now increasing the difficultly I have thought about but the games I have played on HOF the CPU seems to get really cheap hits and the CPU won't chase pitches out of the zone so strikeouts go way down. At least on all-star you see a variety of outs which is great except the CPU also can't score which is what I am struggling with.

I really would like to find a way to use these rosters as the edits to the players are awesome I just need the CPU to be a challenge.

Up the difficulty. It seems as if you're short-changing yourself by playing on AllStar. I was playing on AllStar too and it was just too easy, the CPU shows literally no urgency IMO. I play on HoF and love the challenge. You are going to see some cheap hits and a few comebacks that feel scripted, but if you play smart and pitch right, you can limit the damage. Try my sliders, they're in the slider forum, if you need a solid starting point.

I'll give that a try thanks. I was having plenty of great games with the original OSFM roster on all-star so I just assumed that would continue with these but I will try going up in difficulty with these and see if it works.
