Nice. I'm more impressed by these 2 shots than the first one for sure. Glass looks great in that MSG shot.

You mean when you are trying to accurately model someone's face? The eyebrows are a major facial feature so yeah, I would absolutely call that a legitimate complaint. Come on, let's be real.

See, now this is more of what EA is capable of. Having 4 refs present on the ice surface is a great addition. The glass and dasher look immaculate in the MSG pic, and the steel railing along the glass has even been represented nicely as well as the ceiling materials. The visible details in both stadiums look good, being able to look up in the rafters and see the lighting tracks, the famed octopus, the banners, PA system speakers, etc., all add to the immersion. That octopus is even hanging in the correct location as it does during real games. That's the attention to detail I've been talking about. The lighting even looks to be near or on par with NBA 2k, which is definitely going in the right direction. These 2 screenshots blow the first one out of the water, and I hope that EA keeps these coming.

I must agree with the sentiments on these last two screens shots, very nice indeed. We also finally have four refs.

When I keep saying EA was likely handcuffed towards the last few years of the PS3 and 360's life cycle, ram is the major reason why. These two systems which were called "next gen" Never were next gen, PC's often had triple or more the amount of memory even when these machines first were released.

As a contrast today the PS4 and Xb1, have 8 gigs of ram. The speed of the PS4's ram is faster than that of the Xb1, GDDR5 vs GDDR3 which is why the PS4 has so far often had true 1080p at 60fps, as opposed to the Xb1 often having a lower resolution to maintain 60fps.

Now again, most modern PC's have 12, 16, or more gigs of ram in them, the pc I'm currently typing this post on has 16 Gigs.

So when people were, and continue to say, "Oh EA is just being lazy" No actually they weren't being lazy, they were up against the wall specs wise on what the PS3 and 360 could handle, and do so at a respectable 60 fps where they could.

I truly believe EA wanted Hockey IQ to be a reality where each player on the ice was running it's own AI on the fly to react to plays, anticipate where the puck was going etc. There are glimpses of this in NHL 14 but it's not consistent enough that it really had that much of an over all effect on the game.

They have alot more memory now to work with, nearly 10X the amount the last two consoles had. We may not see this in year 1 on the PS4 and Xb1, but I would be extremely surprised if the AI isn't a whole hell of a lot better moving forward.

Those screenshots are looking really good. I cant wait to see some gameplay footage though and the AI needs to be better moving forward. I hope the constraints are the reason because it should not be that bad in the next gen titles.

Reading my PC specs then realizing NHL15 won't even touch it's sweet hard drive make me so sad...the thought of having NHL15 on a PC with the ability to modify the game makes me so happy.

Just a question for you PC-gamers. Are you offline player or online player?

Because I could see NHL online on the PC could be pretty brutal with the amount of hackers/cheaters. Not saying that console gamers don't hack/cheat, but it's way easier on the PC.
