This comes down to CPU AI as said above

2. Is V2 or V2a with ALL of SeanJeezys pitch edits? Or just the three things in bold on page 1?

Please let me know ASAP, as if they have ALL pitch edits, I'm starting my franchise tonight!!!

Again, much appreciated.

Sorry for the late response - V2.1a is the best one to start with, but V2 and any derivative has full pitch edits

V2a, was with facial hair and hair corrections to make it playable on the PS4 without playing against the Robertson family

V2.1a is with the +5 Discipline which brought all the averages up to very close to real life

The "A" version included beard corrections. Don't know what version the PD+5 fix was applied to but I think it was the "A" version.

Having PSN doesn't even matter for PS3 gamers with these additions because your work is strictly for PS4. I wished this could be available for PS3 users. I guess we're left with doing this manually to this roster set on PS3 version of the game.

I guess a few hours of additional work isn't too bad after all that has been done from other guys to make this set available. I just don't have that kind of time but I will have to make time I guess if I want these additions. Thanks!
I could only provide the most up to date version I had on my USB from my Ps3 and that is the one that I corrected beards and hair - that is the only difference between the Ps3 and Ps4

did G I JOE already add + 5 to his roster for Plate vision ? If he did, add +5 more to fix terrible strike-out sim stats.

what sliders are you fellas using to simulate your games ? And if you simulate one season on ps vita VS ps-4, the stats are different. stolen Base stats are VERY, VERY DIFFERENT !!!!

I apologize for my blind ignorance.

thanks.
I understand you are trying to achieve perfection - but you can not with this game - because it is a game, all you are doing is making people doubt whether they want to use this roster - which in my opinion is the closest thing to real life as you can find from many many posts on here.

I nor do anyone else get paid for creating this roster or providing to other to use, nor are we here to push a bull**** roster down anyone's throats, unlike what you will find in some cases in the Vault.

This roster is not perfect - no roster can be perfect because every year numbers and trends change. Every year a Chris Davis comes out of the woodwork and every year a Ricky Romero falls off the planet - no one sees that coming, because if they did they would be working for a MLB team.

This roster provides numbers that equal what is being projected by ZiPs projections - which I believe are somewhere in the accurate to 4% range - may be even lower then that - that means 96% of these players will achieve these numbers with a very small percentile.

If you have different numbers and ratings you would like to use - please start a new thread and share your own roster - if you are using this roster as your base and making adjustments that is fine - just please make sure you are informing people of what our base is so the people who put in the hours to create this get their deserved credit.

We will not be drastically changing anything on this roster moving forward with the exception of corrections, transaction updates and stat updates of players overachieving and sometime in August of guys who have crapped the bed this year.

I apologize now if there is a crass tone to this post, but as has been said already - you are cramming up this thread with unrelated to the Hybrid roster posts.

The link I posted was the most up to date - again it is playable on the Ps3 - just some beards will be missing or textures may be a bit off to give the full beard look a player had on the Ps3

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

Now to put up the post I intended of putting up before answering what I could.

I really hope people are enjoying these rosters.

I have been playing Video game baseball since RBI baseball in '88, in around '91 when a game called Hardball for the PC was the first game to have real shaped people and stadium graphics, Tony LaRussa Baseball which actually had full player names and you could input stats to try and get realistic results, the MVP and Triple Play series followed by The Show in 07 til now.

I got to spend some quality time with the game the past 2 days - got through the first 7 games of Spring Training with my Jays, and really am impressed with the game play.

Of course some of you are going to say, "he is just pushing his own roster"

And yes to a point I am - but that is because like many of you, when we first embarked on this project I had my share of questions about the accuracy and even why we were doing what we were. Last year AC Milan and tbbucsfan01 talked me into using the ZiPs numbers, and when I did the ratings I thought we were making a mess of the SCEA numbers and doing more then we needed too. I also thought Pitch Edits were not necessary.

This real is for real guys - watching players not get to balls that others will - or watching a 3B make the grab on the line, step in foul territory and get the guy running to first only to watch a player with inferior abilities either watch the ball go by or get to the ball and not have the arm to throw the runner out to me is amazing - the fact that my first baseball game on the NES - RBI Baseball, if you hit the ball to third base you could actually get to 2B before the throw reached 1B in some cases, has come to this is amazing.

And the best part is I know SCEA is only going to make a better game next year and make us put more work into these rosters.

I was blessed to have the crew that worked on this project this year - everyone of these guys brought something new to look at to the table - mainly Teeds who just can't settle for a forehead crease being out of place - the faces this year from the OSFM crew have brought the PS4 version to a whole new world for me.

Unfortunately there are things on the Ps4 that drive me nuts but we can't control - hopefully they fix the cap bill and shoe edits for next, maybe allow us to edit coaches and managers and get the Sounds of The Show back with MP3 capability - but aside from that - this is something to be enjoyed - hope all of you do

I like to enter into each game and sim to the 9th inning to control excessive CG's.

I use QC.

Essential sliders are:

Human Starter Stamina - 8 -- CPU Sim slider 3 (I just pitch)
Human and CPU Reliever Stamina - 0

Manager hook - 6
Injury - 8

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster - V2 Released

I just noticed while going through the ratings for the Brewers that their catcher, Jonathan Lucroy, has a stealing ability of 99. Obviously, this is incorrect! Should be somewhere around 30-35 IMO. Although it seems that all catchers in the game have the same rating of 20 for stealing.

Re: OSFM HYBRID ROSTER 2014 - V2 RELEASED

Willard,

sorry to ask this noob question but how should I exactly set up a franchise with your rosters without playing spring training the first year? Which guys I have do send down and which ones I have to manually injure?
