This will be fixed. We haven't gone through the entire corrections list yet.

I agree. Some defensive ratings will need a looking at. We might have outdated numbers on some of these players.

Otherwise this roster is unbelievable
Yes, Puig's arm strength should be higher and definitely higher than Braun's.

Not sure if you guys want to make any corrections or not, and I'm not trying to nitpick just wasn't sure if you guys want to make corrections or not for version 2. Thanks again!
We'll get the numbers fixed on subsequent versions.

Can you explain this Willard? Maybe cause Puig is so young you are allowing him to grow into it? And that pirates prospect you missed on is critical, he's a part of the future! And arrendo is one of the top 3 defensive third basemen in MLB, his hitting is more of a surprise to the Rockies and was brought up due to his amazing defensive skills. Maybe it's just people on here overreacting it just has me more anxious to check these out! But worst case scenario we have OSFM v2 which is almost perfect and I'll probably do pitch edits myself to that roster and post them if it's ok with Knight
I guarantee you we'll look at defensive ratings. As I said above, the numbers we have might be outdated. The problem is I don't think any great defensive info exists that we can correlate to game ratings. With that said, most of us know baseball well enough to realize that Braun rated higher than Puig defensively isn't right. As for McGuire, he'll be in there, was just overlooked. We have updated ratings for him.

Re: OSFM Hybrid Roster - V1 Release

I will gladly be willing to try and give any objective help I can on defensive re-rates.
Probably the best defensive metrics to date IMO are UZR and it's sub metrics, which breaks it down to range (probably reaction?), Error rating (probably fielding?), double play rating (??? maybe consider it when doing fielding rating ???), and arm for OF (which measures only effectiveness not accuracy or strength so would have to rely on player reputation there). There are equivalent numbers for catchers on runs prevented by blocking balls, and by throwing out runners. I am sure the roster creators are aware of most, if not all of this, and that there aren't ZiPS or steamer projections for these (that I know of). But there is some good data out there on defensive metrics. I am a complete neophyte when it comes to roster making, but I love baseball, and have loved the realism these rosters bring to the game. If I can help, then let me know.

Can you come up with some ratings? We're very much aware of the existing defensive metrics and you're right, there are not ZiPS or steamer projections we can pull from. We just don't have that much time to devote to creating our own defensive ratings. Willard can you fill you in more on what ratings he's been working from.

You're referring to the fans scouting report info?
