I think they got the Phils virtually perfect except I'd switch Jimmy and Chase's overalls and Lee should probably be a few points higher. He's been constantly the 5th best SP for what 5 years in a row?

I did some research last year and found simming with injury slider on 10 gave the most accurate amount of injuries per month/season. We assume that many injuries is unrealistic but as in many cases the statistics say otherwise. I found out how many players go on the DL every year per team and felt pretty confident injury slider 10 was most realistic for simming. In-game is a different story. I believe 1.5 injuries per week was the number I found of injuries per MLB team. I'll be testing that again this year but I am sure i'll find raising injuries will be the way to go for accuracy's sake.

It would be pretty easy to just adjust a handful of player ratings of some pitchers if you really wanted to see lower ERAs. I prefer playing with Willard's Hybrid roster that rerates every player (MLB + minor leaguer) according to ZiPs projections for 2014 which uses OSFM as a base but that won't be out for a few months. You can find that in the Roster forum!
I believe the Manager Hook and pitcher stamina sliders are also used in the sim-engine.

I could be mistaken on that but I'm pretty sure it's more than just the one you mentioned. Or maybe I'm wrong?

No I think you are correct. I have forgotten all of my little The Show tricks soon enough I will be back up to speed! Those should be the only three though. So you can tweak the Innings pitched as far as sim stats without making ratings edits by using those sliders.

Assuming everything looks good innings pitched and saves wise, as they do so far in these sims, I will be making a slider save called 'Simulation' with everything set to 5 except injuries which is 10 that I load for when I simulate CPU vs CPU games. Then I load my normal sliders when I play for reals. A little inconvenient but accuracy is paramount!

A few typos in there I think but the sim stats look really good imo. Strikeouts look way better than last year. Only big issue is the amount of Steals are crazy high but it shouldn't be a hard fix for the devs if they decide to patch it (If we make enough noise!)

Download the file and open it in LibreOffice or Excel if it's cut off on Google Spreadsheets to see the full table.
Just for the record, I think the spreadsheet is missing home runs.

Complete Games still seems high. Last year only 1 pitcher from both leagues managed 5 complete games and only 3 pitchers had 4. In the sim stats here, all top 10 pitchers in both leagues had 5 or more complete games.

No doubt about him having a bad year but still. Fernandez was great, but not better than a lot of guys that he's ranked above. Overall rankings seem pretty good though.

A closer examination finds Nova's record from 2011-2013 to be 37-18 which really isn't an indictment on a pitcher but rather, the team he has the good or bad fortune to be with.
As for his ERA, in the same time frame as his W-L record, that 3.10 ballons to over 3.90 and closer to 4. Still, not shabby.
I suspect, if we could see his durability rating, that may explain, if it is indeed lower than one would hope for, to be what lowers his OVR. If this needs adjusted it could put him over 80. MAYBE.
I def can't wait till Tuesday to give this game a good test ride lol

Well least tommy hunter will be decent in the pen. Matusz a nasty left specialist is a 60 overall? McFarland is rated better? Weeks is rated better then Flaherty? Tillman a 16 game winner is rated at 78 overall? Also I guess Nelson Cruz had not signed yet in time for the roster? I am confused but I noticed this trend with other teams as well. Some pitcher rated better then what their records and stats show and some rated not high enough. Same with some players. Glad we can change the overall under the rosters.
