Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)

I have a really important question for this years PS3 version.

Since online is being enhanced big time. I really want to know what hitting, pitching, fielding and baserunning interfaces are available for online franchise.

I am very curious if I will be able to create a sim league exactly like the way I play offline. Classic pitching, timed hitting, auto fielding, manual throwing, assisted base running.

Or am I limited.

Any help to this answer would be greatly appreciated.

I am very interested in playing in an online franchise this year on PS3 and want to know if I need to practice other interfaces to do so or can each individual owner use whatever they are comfortable with. I don't mind if I have to field myself (I can do it just fine) but am curious for sim purposes.

just stating from prior years online experience and dont expect them to change at this point, but timing not available online and fielding is all manual. Leagues were not setup in past to play with certain hitting/pitching interfaces either.

Ok. So each owner can pitch classic, meter or analog and hit with zone or analog.

Correct?

Thanks for the info.

That's something I never thought about since I only use the more advanced controls. Those who use timing and auto-fielding, etc might get left out of online franchise since what Hustlin said is correct. They do not allow those controls online. I know a lot of people like using them because it creates more realistic stat lines.

I hope when the game comes out we can compile a list of the differences to make it easy for people to choose which version of franchise they want.

sure those can be enabled once you pause game and adjust gameplay options when playing AI/CPU

I meant for those who might want to make a league where everyone uses timing controls or something. I feel like a comish should be able to allow that if everyone uses it. For some reason I just assumed you'd be able to do this, but I thought of the mode as franchise taken online, instead of leagues expanded to franchise.

This has been discussed and doubt they allow timing back in online play
