I'm pretty sure they said it will be early access instead of open beta right after closed beta. Meaning you have to buy it but obviously you get the full game so a no brainer still. Just wanted to mention it.

No - you are purchasing the full game in purchasing the early access. It will just be a late beta phase type condition. Once the final retail build is finished, you will just get prompted for an update.

To add on to that:

Any updates that they do are downloaded and you get the newest version all the time.

Prison Architect is the perfect example of how great early access can be and I thinks it's a GREAT move for not only the company but gamers.
