While I disagree about Holliday not being a middle of the order hitter, it's hard to compare him with Freeman over 3 years when Holliday has been in his prime and one of those seasons was Freeman's rookie year. Both great hitters.

I agree it's hard to compare the whole 3 years with Freeman, it's actually why I left Allen Craig out of the comparisons, because prior to last year, he wasn't a full-time starter; his rate stats are up there with the 5 players I posted. But I had to include Freeman in the comparisons because last year, he showed that he was a great hitter, arguably the Braves best hitter. The point of my post was to show the guy I quoted that the Cards do have "true" middle of the order hitters, when he said their lack of one is why they were not in his top 5.

Someone prove to me that isn't a top 5 lineup lol

I also think Milwaukee is flying under the radar, but I wouldn't consider them a top 5 lineup.

It really depends on how SCEA rates some of our players. They never updated Adams to what he should have been last year, but they were all over Gattis and Puig.
Hey, I'm a baseball noob but won't Bourjous be starting over Jay in center? I'm trying to get into baseball so I can be completely wrong but that's just what my preview magazine said.

I don't think either one is set in stone as the starter. Jay is probably better offensively, but Bourjous is worlds better defensively. I think whoever plays better this spring will get the starting job. Also, if Taveras can get healthy and prove to be serviceable defensively in CF, he might take playing time from both of them.

I actually thought the Indians would be on this list. We tied for 5th in runs scored in the MLB last year and most of the important guys had down years. These articles are always good for discussion though I guess.

Cardinals should be on the list IMO.

Do they Dodgers not have a 2nd baseman? Are they going to only field 8 guys?

Man, this stinks.

Even when I try to homer it like everyone else in this thread, I can't make the Cubs sound like a top-5 lineup.
