Yeah, if you wait you can get it for $30. I bought 3 of them at that price and they stack so I am good for the next 3 years. I think for what they have to offer the value is fantastic.

Curious about a quote from the Bleacher Report source article when developers were asked if fantasy drafts were in this year's online franchise mode:

"Absolutely. Users can create a new online franchise with draft set to on … allowing 6-30 users to hold a full fantasy draft."

Is this implying that fantasy drafts are user team only? Just curious if anyone had some insight.

For MLB13 this wasnt the case CPU/AI teams would draft, but not very good

I would assume based on past online usage with the Show it warranted this type of attention and direction.
I have no issue with online getting attention and am fully aware of how much some guys have eaten it in terms of comparative features/quality for awhile, so this is more explanation than complaint, but some of the frustration (at least for me) is that franchise mode has gotten nothing but tweaks and fixes (and removals with the hopes of future fixes) for awhile now.

Not only that, but some of the tweaks and fixes are to fix problems caused by previous tweaks and fixes...lol. Hell, even one of the better features being added for 14 is actually a retread (midseason staff hiring/firing) from before the previous bigger franchise retooling. So to see some wishlist items make it only for online is like being taunted in a way...lol.

Again, to be clear (for the more zealous fans among us ), I understand the need to bring online up to speed and have no issue with that. I also understand the effort that was made to try to get some crossover to online and the constraints that made it a no-go, so I'm not up in arms or anything (and I definitely appreciate the frank answers over the evasive nonsense we get from some other devs). Just providing a perspective on why it is still disappointing, is all.

Anyway, my boo-hoos aside, while not for me, these are certainly nice additions overall. Hopefully they find their way offline by '15 and my annual "maybe next year" franchise wishlist will start seeing some boxes checked!

I agree....almost wholeheartedly....
But I can definitely see this as being a bit of a problem with the end users who are online/offline....if the new logic written in for online is that much better than the offline logic.
Talk about lineups
Talk about trades and just how the CPU is handling it's signings and off season moves.
For me....I've come to embrace 30 team control and a "whatever happens" approach to my franchise past year 1....but that's me.
I'm playing devil's advocate here....because I can sympathize with the users who might be a little more disappointed in this.

Ditto, I basically asked Ramone earlier in this thread if there were any plans for more than just "tweaks and fixes" (for me its expanded rosters and the draft+IFA's) and didn't get a response. An OOTP style franchise mode with The Show's graphics and gameplay is the dream and I hope we see it some time in the next 5-6 years...

I'm sure we will see expanded options and additions to franchise mode in future versions.
It's the base of the game.
If you mean for this year....no way they are adding anything "new"(I don't want to be that guy....but perhaps some of the online improvements missing from offline this year can be added via an update)...but as far as writing in new code for '14....definitely not.
If you mean for '15 and beyond?......I'm nearly 100% sure things like this will be added. That's just from talking to Aaron/Luis and Lance about how they envision franchise mode to be. They have some really, really great ideas on the direction. They just need the time to implement them.
