I really don't understand how making the grass and gloves more realistic is more important than eliminating the blatantly unrealistic things like the roof never being closed in Houston or Miami.

Maybe it was an easier fix and now SCAE will move on to the more difficult tasks for 15

I don't think anyone said or is saying it is.
But creating the grass ....and populating the field with it....is a lot easier and doable(with dev time) than building those stadiums over(both open and closed).
Comparing the two is not really the right argument.

It also sounds like the grass is actually going to affect the ball more so then it has in the past so it technically is a gameplay element as opposed to it being solely an aesthetic feature.
