Crazy as it sounds, I'm more excited about this than a lot of other things. I like to play with the Broadcast camera frequently and the crowd on PS3 hurts the immersion factor.

Well... I'm sure they intend to make money. But they have a different philosophy on how to do it.

3D grass was a must for PS4 by some, funny that the person I remember asking for it the most I haven't seen a single post of his lately.

Why do they spend so much time and energy on things that wont even be noticed... I understand wanting a high level of detail and I certainly agree with that thought, but how about a high level of GAME detail... How about making damn sure that batting averages don't go up league wide after 8 years of a season. How about spending time on GM AI, and draft logic. What about making the presentation MUCH better, instead of just a little bit.

I would trade all the new shiny graphics for actual in game improvements that will most likely be missing from this year..

Just because I can now see bread crumbs in mike napolis beard dosnt mean im going to purchase a ps4 just for this game.

I really hope some dev blogs start coming out soon showing us what in game improvements they have made. As the best sports game on the market, we should all expect more from them, don't settle for just a shiny version of 13, earn my 60 bucks and my praise.
Grass is fundamental to the sport. We all eat it during play. We stare at it in the outfield or from a mask. They spend thousands keeping it green. Different stadiums have different cuts. Whole teams of specialty workers care for stadium grass as it is valued that highly. If you have ever been to a nice stadium you can't help but feel the vivid nature of a well kept grounds among the scoreboards, crowd, vendors, etc.

The goal of baseball sims is to capture the moment of really being in the game of baseball. Sorry, but no one in their right mind wanted to play on a damn mat for the next 5 years. Unbelievable how short sighted people are. We are moving into 2014 and beyond. It's time to put the big boy pants on. 3D grass is a necessary component of outdoor sports just as much as anything else in a sim. I am sure they have a lot of info on where franchise is going and where all the memory is being put to use.

The PS4 is a monster compared to the abysmal power of the PS3. They didn't as a team spend the entire year working on grass man. There is a whole team out there for their respective jobs. Cool down.

I had this dream last night that we would see Rain delayed schedules, guess that was only a dream haha, but wouldn't that add in another great realism if that happened? would bring in fatigue more and a way for strategies with your team line ups etc. I don't know why they don't put it in, it couldn't hurt to put in a random rain washout, look at all of the postponed matches we have!

yes I know their is no point to having a delayed game because within 20 seconds you would be playing again, however it would effect the pitchers being warmed up etc and change the game, it's something they really should think about in the future

This doesn't happen once a game, maybe not even once a week....

Unless you are Eduardo Nuņez...then it happens every time he is on base....still not once a week...
