If you're struggling against high level AI opponents, or can't be consistent online, I'm here to help with some basic tips on how to improve your offensive game, and hopefully, make you a more intelligent attacker in FIFA 14 and beyond!

If the AI had emotions it would have tried to kill me months ago out of frustration. Since I started playing at the higher difficulty levels in '13, I've learned to be a lot more careful with the ball. Even on Legendary I still average about 60% possession.

I've just started playing with my friend with full manual difficulty and it's just a pain in the ***, meanwhile it's the most satifying way to win games. It would be nice to read a guide about how to play with full manual settings, how to practice. The game opens up and becomes a true simulation.

This is a great guide, cracked open last night, and was like WTH, feels much different on XB1 than 360. Good looksies.

Re: FIFA 14: A Beginner's Guide to the Attack

Another real key about FIFA is learning the basic concept of when to charge passes and when to simply give the button to execute a pass/through ball/chip/ shot just a single tap. Doesn't matter if you're using assisted/manual or whatever. Knowing the in-game situations when to hold the button vs. giving it a tap is a crucial part of attacking.
