2K dropped the ball big time, especially with the VC. There is no reason VC should be in any other game mode other than MyTEAM.

I thought I had the same problem and kinda gave up on the mode till I thought about forcing (in the options / coaching) the use plays to 100%. Now they're calling plays everytime.
Previously the setting was at 90% and they were never calling plays.
