I think in order to get the best out the patch is to reinstall the game and delete it from your hard rive becaus3 clearly those files are corrupted I did it with patch # 2 and it never crashed on me but I haven't got the 3rd patch yet tho

per @LD2k when I asked why Co-op wasn't included in patch.

"MyGM was not designed to have co-op this year. We've taken feedback to the team however."

Time to sell/trade this game in for me.

Perhaps they don't want to make a statement that something is working in the patch notes, only to discover it isn't working? If they never claim they fixed it, we can't complain that it's still broken? I dunno. Patches on PC games usually contained some sort of readme file with patch notes.
