I want nothing more than to enjoy this game, but once I break that plastics, that's it.

For you guys that have a logged a good number of games now, what's your overall view of the game in terms of getting getting bored with it sooner than later? Like a previous poster, I too have 2k and BF4, and I just wonder if the game will be fun enough to play it continuously after playing those 2 titles which look more next gen. Look forward to guys comments.
I hadn't bought Madden for I think between 5-7 years, somewhere in that range. Got tired of buying it every year, playing it for maybe a week, getting bored and never touching it again. So I stopped. And I didn't miss it one bit.

Decided to give this year's game a try since I was going to need some variety for PS4 to start. Tried it out for maybe 3/4 of a game and I enjoyed it, was thinking i'd finally enjoy Madden again. Then I finally decided to go back to it again last night for a second try, played a full game and was bored real fast. The game looked and felt like a slightly upgraded version of what I remember the demos playing like (because I still tried the demos each year). Didn't feel Next Gen.

So the Honeymoon phase for me last about 3/4 of a game then I was bored and I seriously doubt i'll bother playing it again. Once you play NBA 2k to me it's almost impossible to go play Madden.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)

Old Madden player here, and I am really enjoying the game. The game play literally feels so much better. You will never understand the comment unless you actually play it. You feel the hits in next gen and the momentum physics are totally different than in cg. That can detract some players, and it will need to be tweaked. One poster pointed out that a Darren Sproles type player should have more agility and momentum control than other players, for example, and I agree with that. Still, it's fun trying to anticipate hits and hit holes based on what you know will be affected by weight shift and cuts, etc.

I get the validity of the issues that linger like animations, player models (can't wait until it's true next gen next august) along with the presentation staleness, but the game is still really fun. I had been playing CG on All Madden and was bored. Now I'm playing NG on All Pro, and I'm struggling to quickly read the new agressive and reactive D. That's how it should be when you play a new Madden. Blocking is so much better, and receivers fight for the ball. You're gonna pay with a pick or an under thrown ball if you throw off of your back foot or off balance. I love throwing on the run in this game.

Just played my first online game, and I will again quote another poster...smooth like butter.

One thing I might suggest for those who don't have a next gen system yet. If you're not a hard core madden player, It might be prudent to wait for the spring on the purchase of the system/madden. I can't say that buying next gen system just for Madden 25 right now is the most practical idea, especially if you already have M25 for current gen.

Madden just isn't very good. For the player models to still basically look current gen doesn't make me optimistic.
This is the kind of thing we don't need. Your impressions are great, right up until "IF you are settling for this game..." This is the kind of thing we don't need.

He does have a valid point about the player models though. They look terrible. The jaggies are hideous

Strange, i bought nba2k and madden as my 2 launch games, and I have only played nba 2k twice. Every time I have enough time to play, I put madden in. NBA2K was a bit overhyped IMO.

Same here, I don't see what so great about the hoop game but I love this Madden.

The running animations have been improved quite a bit but I feel the user should have a little more control of the cuts. NCAA 14 hard cuts are done really well but need to be tamed some, theres a little too much control in that game. Madden need to come somewhere in the middle of where Madden 25 and NCAA 14.

That's fine, but you clearly missed my point.

I am not feeling NBA 2k either. I think technically it's a very good game, I think my waning interest in the NBA in general has more to do with it.
