Is there anyway to dive over the pile at the goal line? Every time I try, the runner just falls/dives forward into somebody's arse.

Hold the precision modifier, then dive.

This is one of the more impressive things I've read here. Have you seen this continue to be the case in CCM when it comes to the Nantz discussing what your quarterback did as you progress through the season?

So check this out.. you at the beginning of a game when a your (or the opposing) QB takes the adfield and the commentators are saying something like "He was a first round selection in 2008, on the filed comes ____insert name____) you would always get the same canned thing about that particular QB... not in next gen.. they actually talk about what he did the week before. I was playing with the Dolphins in a CC and in week 2 rather than them introducing him as the former aggie converted back to his QB position (which they say EVERY TIME in current gen)..the next gen one said..." Coming to lead his team on the field is Ryan Tannehill.. he didnt have that great of a game last week throwing 3 picks, lets see if he can get it done today."

THAT made me smile... they also do it when they introduce the starting offense and defense..they will talk about what they did last week. They still havent got to the point where they talk about individual players during your current game about what they did last week, but these things they are doing are NOT in current gen. I love it.

For me, because I'm a Coach Mode type of guy, Madden next gen was a must buy.. for the ones who gripe about the controls feeling different becauset they play alot of controller and skill based games.. my advice is to just get used to it.. It's actually harder now.. less cheesing (although cheese will always be present)... all in all.. I'm happy with my next gen madden purchase. No, it's not as advanced as that basketball game I bought with my system.. but Madden is on the right track..they are just moving a little slower lol

Play the zoom cam and you'll notice more of a difference, btw I wish the zoom camera wouldn't zoom in as far as it does when it's focused on the call carrier other wise it would be perfect!

I havent been in a scenario where, say for example my QB was on pace to break a record or something so I don't know just how much they will say or what triggers it. I'm only 4 weeks into my season.. but like I said, in Current Gen, they say literally the same thing about your QB when he comes onto the field. For example, Tannehill is always the "converted QB from Texas AM"... but in Next Gen, they introduce him, then comment on what he did the prior week. They also comment on what the offense or defense did at times the prior week when they introduce those lineups. I'm curious to see what other things trigger those introductory comments.

I think it is pretty much close to perfect. I only notice this issue on returns. On runs or regular plays I don't notice a problem at all, if anything its realistic.

But yeah, regardless, Zoom cam is seriously awesome

Wink Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)

I'm about 8 full games in since launch...

...and I was one of first to post my impressions, and I'm having an absolute blast with this game. It takes a bit to get used to going from CG to NG, but it just *feels* so much better, the AI is smarter, etc...

I am seeing a bit too many interceptions by both myself & the CPU...I have both set to 3, but it's still too high...granted INT'S are warranted due to horrible decisions.

Gonna wait a bit until I start a C-Franchise, but I am lookin' forward to it.

Solid product IMO!

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)

the small things added like talking about the week before are very limited and small. seeing the same issues from previous game. did not buy it myself, but played it at a friend's, and left very unimpressed. I proceeded to put in APF 2k8, and I overturned a late fumble when I challenged it was I thought the ball was thrown forward and not backwards, I was correct. this was after a huge holding penalty on the defender where I saw the defender hold the TE

still no working penalties in madden, way too many INT's in game to get a realistic sim experience. living crowds has potential, but is limited as well. not seeing changes to the legacy system, or many of the other broken elements that people overlook because they don't play it enough or don't care. Sim stats are still bad.

not sure exactly if this game will ever represent the real NFL. it can be fun to play with a friend for a bit, but that is not why I play madden. oh and Jamaal Charles looks ridiculous!
