NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)

There are a few random bugs, nothing major.

I don't mind the VC, but I do wish we could earn it in simmed games so that I could get through seasons faster.

I'm not sure that's something they'll patch...since this is the only mode I'd play, I'll wait and see on whether I end up selling this or not.

One thing they need to change is the jumper shooter kicking his leg out most of the time. That needs to be toned down some.

Honestly, I'm too busy playing to give a solid impression; it's that good! Yes, there are house keeping issues--counterintuitive menus, buggy new features (the patch cometh!)--but the good far outweighs the bad; anyone who suggests that the work they put in isn't evident or that it plays the same is being disingenuous.
I don't even understand a lot of the MY GM complaints: this is year 1 guys. We know 2K implements features gradually (and I applaud this strategy; if you can't get it the way you wanted then, yes, move in a stepwise fashion); do you really think those features you loved are never coming back? Also, I'm curious to know if those people actually play the game or use it like a baseball stimulator. To each his own, but if the latter, how can you complain about endeavors taken to improve the gameplay at the cost of overlooking 30 team control, etc.?

Bah, humbug. Good job Beluba, LD2K, and anyone I forgot. Next Gen's future is bright.

New thing I noticed: the ball is really live. A loose ball was hit and it bounced upward instead of toward the sideline. Lots of charges for people who just put their head down and dive to the basket--they deserve this punishment. Like old school NBA promos, I love this game.

I'm enjoying on the court very much. Off the court needs a major overhaul IMO. I will not put that much time into 2K14 because of the depth issues man. I'm not a big fan of VC at this point. I'd like for Online Association to work properly in 2K15 and then I'll get into that.

Right now it's fun and for the first time I'll mess around with MP because the MyGM just doesn't do it for me at the moment.

Here's to hoping the off the court gets a major boost moving forward!
